:wah: At least now i know how georgia felt this year. Except no sleep for 3 days flying to vegas and driving to Pasadena. I was just getting over it until i checked the forums today. Going to be a long year, THIS SUCKS!

True, it hurts that much worse. I keep telling myself that at least dallas is a closer trip next year.

Going to LA in person for the game helped. Don't get me wrong .. It still hurts, but immediately after exiting those frick awful tunnels in the Rose Boel I realized what a beautiful night it was and where I was for 4 days. That part of the country is truly beautiful.
But yeah frick that game... STILL WAITING FOR THE REFTARDS TO THROW A FLAG FOR HOLDING ON FREE SHOES.... Wait..... See ... Dee Ford... Held yet again

I keep seeing that first drive pass dropped. Keep seeing, keep seeing, keep seeing. Then I reminded myself we frickin' won the SEC. Holy crap, how did that happen?! I mean, I remember commenting to some people back in the summer how Bama had one of the easiest schedules in all of the conference. This thing was totally set up for Bama vs. UGA again and we won the damn thing?! That is a pretty big balm to losing to FSU. Is this a melt? Mini-melt, but I'll take it!

Remember this, we missed a FG. Everyone and says post game if only we'd made that FG!!?
But what happened after the FG was missed? Two plays later JW fumbles, 6 plays later Nick runs it in for a TD and we're up 21-3.
Had we made that FG who knows what would've happened. Had we stopped the kick off return who knows if JW doesn't had a 4 minute drive for the win. You just don't know.
But what you do know for sure is if there had been a stop in the last 1 minute of the game, we take a knee. The defense did a great job all night but at a pivotal point... just sucks.

The AU fan and his son sitting behind me at BCSNCG kept going on and on about that missed FG!! Even my Dad was ready to beat them senseless when we lost by 3! They spoke that EVIL on us.

I just realized what bothered me throughout that game. We couldn't run. We ran all year but we couldn't do it against them. That's the worst part imo.

And that was the bulk of our teams rushing yards. For most of the game we gained 2 yards on first down. Not to mention the plethora of -2 yard ones. We were shut down imo.

you saw 2nd and 8 so much because it accounted for 24% of the 2nd down and yardage to go (2nd and 2 and 2nd and 6 were next often at 10% each) but there weren't really any telling trends from it.
The offense overcame a lot of 2nd downs and long on scoring drives and failed to score on some drives where we had 2nd and short.
In fact, 2nd and short happened 8 times and two of those were on a TD drive. 2nd and 10+ yards happened 6 times, two of those on TD drives.
FWIW we were in 2nd and short 28% of the time, 2nd and long 52% of the time and 2nd and more than 10 yards 20% of the time.
For the entire game the average was 2nd and 7.6, sounds bad. Between the two TD drives from the 2nd quarter til 4th, the average was 2nd and 8. I'd say that's telling except on the TD drives, the average was 2nd and 8.5.
