but didn't we have two stud prospects from Cobb County (Lassiter, Mceachern, Sprayberry) commit a couple of years ago when they were sophomores or juniors? I thought they would be on campus this year. What happened to them?

Sharife was a MHS kid and left too early (what could have been had he been leading the Jabari/Kessler team). We thought we were going to get Scoot from Kell but he went G League. We missed out on Ace Bailey (#2 recruit in the country at MHS) this year.

I don’t think so but realistically we probably aren’t far from it. We’ve won a conference championship 3 of the past 6 years. I just have a hard time seeing our ceiling being much higher than that right now.

I just wonder with G-league and such if recruits like Jabari are going to be the exception and not the rule?

Nah not anymore with NIL. Currently squarely in it with 3 top 10 players in the 2025 class. With NIL and rule changes that affect the way games are called, it looks like Bruce is looking for some combination of these three traits in high school guys: elite talent, sharpshooter, or elite driving players.

He’s not a fan bro. I don’t know what he is but he’s not a fan. He has no idea. Bruce is 2nd to none when it comes to what he brings to a University. He built the #1 home court advantage in all of basketball…I love this team. They have as good a chance as anybody to get hit in March. They kind of needed this little slump. Basketball begins in March dummy

They think he has infinite money to buy whatever team he wants.

We have a middling basketball NIL because the big boys really only care about football. It’s amazing what he has done here.

I’m as frustrated as anybody with this week, but look all around and you will see top 10 teams losing to teams worse than what we just lost to.

We are going to lose 4 more in SEC play. It’s basketball, get used to it.

Bruce is the greatest thing to ever happen to AU basketball including Charles Barkley. When Bruce retires the court or the arena or some other part of the facility will be named in his honor.

We’ve had 4 first round draft picks, 3 SEC championships, and a Final Four. We just lost two close games on the road in the SEC to two tourney teams and we were ranked in the top 10 when we did.

You two incel fricksticks need to get a grip.

My question is why? In today’s age of nil why would the ceiling be where we are?

Because our NIL isn’t that great, especially when it comes to basketball.

Some of you are really, really embarrassing. We are in the middle of golden age of Auburn basketball thanks to Bruce Pearl.
You better enjoy it while it lasts.

So he gets total Protection?

That is some pretty powerful stuff. Honestly, I did not see anything on here tonight that was out of bounds. The team didn’t look prepared and a few people called them on it.

I have not seen any post wanting to fire pearl. Just commenting on the poor performance.

This isn’t football, a lot more bball only schools and actual blue bloods to compete with.

Ok what could Bruce have done today?

We run the same scheme we always do. We had wide arse open 3 point shots. You want guards and CBM not taking those? You want JayWill turning down an uncontested 3?

We missed layups… what could the coach have done?

Ok offensive rebounding by state got it… they had 11 in the first half. 3 in the second half.

Only complaint I have is it seems we don’t get into offense until around 14-15 seconds left on the shot clock. Not sure if that is by design or trying to slow the game down when we don’t have transition chances but the call seems to come in with about 15 seconds left and everyone scrambles to their spots then we start our motion and it’s under 10 by then if the first shot isn’t open it’s tough to get reset.

A bit of mustard on the dress shirt, no doubt, but I'd rather lose a couple in January than March.

Anyone that calls Bruce average, or slightly above average, don't know Auburn Basketball's "history"

We always flop in late January with road shooting woes and dumbasses not knowing their places. They did well to stay tied with such a hot shooting Bama, and now they've lost their identity in an unfortunately scheduled game. They weren't mentally or physically there. If our beloved point guards grow some sacks, fun times. And oh, you run the table and have to go on the road to your rival and a bubble Moo, so here's Vandy. There's no fixing things against Vandy, and then you have to go to OM. Annoying part of the schedule at the right time of the season. Bama gets theirs at the wrong time.

Yeah, letting Lior guard Sears while all the big dumbasses just stand around bumfuzzled how Mark Sears got past Lior Berman, and how no one figured it out had me pretty confused. Then Denver Jones today just lets the free throw shooter blow past him in a really late 4 point game.
