seem to recall that his 2013 team beat the hell out of Gus' team.

They also lost 3 games despite having multiple pro bowlers and nearly every starter in the NFL

My heart, nerves, and liver can't take Les being a coach at Auburn.

Here's the difference.

Auburn has a 2 loss season (2013) and we all (and especially Gus himself) think it's the greatest season in the history of the sport despite having more luck thrown in with the UGA and the Bama wins than 50 drunk leprechauns with fists full of four leaf clovers.

Les has 3 close loses to top 15 opponents all on the road in 2013 and he's a horrible coach.

Don't make no kinda sense.

You logic don't make no kinda sense.

AU was coming off our worst season in 50 years. We won the SEC and played for a National Championship.

Again, can we stop saying Bama was luck? It was good coaching.

Never go full retard.

Thier offense is worse than ours.

and that included miracle wins that arguably had absolute nothing to do with coaching quality and more to do with divine intervention
amazing how the first 59 minutes of those games had nothing to do with coaching quality

I can see that comparison.

To me Les is a better coach than Malzahn and Tubberville was a better coach than Malzahn.

I would be thrilled if Malzahn proves me wrong and pulls the program out of its current rocky state and he goes on to have multiple 10 win seasons sprinkled win wins against Bama and UGA for the next several years. But based on Auburn's performance since Pasadena, Gus is at best an average SEC coach. Like I said, hopefully he proves me and other doubters wrong.

I think Gus can be a good college HC. Our problem is........he really has no college HC experience. He is learning on the job and our dime. If he does ever get it figured out, I would rather have him on our sidelines than the other.

But les wouldn't do all that shite at auburn you mentioned. He was gifted unbelievable offensive talent year after year bc of the state of LA... Odell Beckam, Jarvis Laundry, Fournette, Jeremy Hill... And that's only recently. Go back to 05-07 teams and look at the wealth of talent the state of LA gave him on both sides of the ball... it's ridiculous.

What are you talking about? UGA and Ole Miss didn't even finish in the top 25 in 2013

LSU was playing with NFL talent at every position and didn't even finish in the top 10. There is absolutely no excuse for that

Ya a 2 loss season where one of those losses is in the national championship game. As for the luck comment that's just stupid. UGA got a bogus TD so justice was served & AU outplayed Bama that 2nd half. It wasn't luck it was good football. That 2 loss season also came after one of the worst ever in AU football history

WTF are you talking about? Ole Miss & UGA both went 8-5 that year

Kinda like this thread... I love Les but he isn't the answer. He has basically had the 2nd most talented team in the SEC for the past few seasons & has wasted it. I wouldn't mind bringing him in as some sort of assistant or analyst type thing but I doubt he would do that. He is gonna land a HC gig somewhere this offseason

I don't want a bonehead of a coach to be at Auburn. I'd rather have VanGorder back.

I would love Les to coach at auburn also. Obviously we would need a hell of a OC if we brought him in but that could work. He is a players coach and a proven winner.

He is and always will be the OC running that shitty offense. Would much rather have Malzahn.

Les Miles is like 60 years old. Yet you'd expect him to come to Auburn, completely change to a pro style offense (which we don't have the talent or athletes for), and immediately start winning 10 games per year?
