A lot of that was based on the media's narrative of Gus being on the hot seat and claiming that "as long as Saban is at Bama, AU fans will always judge Auburn's success against Bama."
That was really a big part of it. That was one of the main reasons we wanted Gus out because we...

My how the times have changed...

It's hard to believe at the beginning of the year we wanted Gus out of the house and on the curb, and we are now in consideration for the SEC West. ...
I don't want a bonehead of a coach to be at Auburn. I'd rather have VanGorder back....
My updated thinking is that we are heavy underdogs to Bama and Ole Miss and heavy favorite against Vandy with toss ups against Miss St., Arky and UGA. Translates to either 6-6 or 7-5 record
I think that Vandy and Miss. St. should be guarenteed. Georiga is a toss up for sure, bu...

Maybe the Offense isn't that bad

Considering we have played some of the best defenses the game has to offer, we may actually have a decent offense hidden away....
The problem isn't as much as the QB, but the O-Line. Many of our lineman miss blocks and the blitz gets to Sean way to quick. However, a good counter to that is having a quarterback more flexible and more agile to move out of the pocket like a Deshaun Watson or a Lamar Jackson. So we have a great qu...
I think if we get another 6-6 year where we get to the BHam bowl again, Jay should pull the plug. We have the ability to win this weekend, but if we get blown out then there is no question Gus is getting the boot to the curb by the end of this season....

I admit it, I was there and saw the beauty of a play, but atleast he can run the read option....

Why Won't We LEARN?!

Gus needs to get it through his head that we can't play in huge games with a quarterback like Sean White, especially if the offensive line can't block. The little we saw of JF3 led us to believe that he should really get a chance in these big game situations instead of against the second-string defe...
Jeff Fischer would never leave the NFL for a college team....

re: Franklin role

Even as much as I hate to say it, I don't think JF3 is going to get much play. It is a shame because we all believed that he would be the starter at the start of the year. You can tell when was playing at the end of Arkansas State game that he seemed a little ticked off. I think that he can run the ...
These quotes and facts show the pure education of Alabama fans and how they portray their football team. We understand that Auburn is obviously not the powerhouse of the state, but at least the fanbase has at least a lick of knowledge. Whenever Saban retires, then you guys are doomed....
In the West, I believe it will come down to the teams that are usually at the top- LSU, Alabama, and Auburn. LSU gets Auburn at home, a big advantage, and return a lot of talent on the defensive side. Though Auburn has now another stout front 7 led by Lawson and the new freshman addition, Cow...
And go .500 in the conference? I could see that.
LOL! ...
I think there will be some downfalls and some rising from many other non notable teams. I believe we can see an upcoming school pull off a huge upset!...

I believe you are right for the most part, but some upcoming talent will arise, probably some great new QBs and HBs....
