Fan favorite? Are you kidding?

We must be talking about a different Ricardo.

Yes, and he dropped what would have been a first down catch in the first half.

Haha there were so many I can't even remember that one.

I mean for the children, women, casual, and uninformed fans. Unfortunately IRL those types of fans out number the types of us that post on this site.

But we'll stick with Ricardo because he's a fan favorite because he caught a tipped pass 2 years ago

To be fair if Davis hadn't caught that wheel on 3rd down at A&M over two years ago I wouldn't even know he was on our team.

Who would have guessed there would be 100 total points in that game?

Sure has changed since the Pat Dye days. Reflection of society in general.

Thanks to my wife, I've gotten to eat dinner with Coach Dye at his place on several occasions. The funny thing is, he never talks too much about football. The conversations revolve around the geology of his property and conservation. Occasionally there's a little football sprinkled in, but ultimately he's a very mindful individual that cares about a lot more than the pigskin.

Dunno why I felt compelled to tell you that other than the fact that these old school hard asses are legends because social media wasn't always there to portray the inner workings of a coach/program in a "softer" way, show the humanistic side so to speak. Furthermore, social justice warriors weren't on standby ready to instantly create havoc for a program/coach. A coach worth his pay knows how to reach a kid though, to drive him to do better.

We're just a lot more exposed to the inner workings of a program now. The game has changed so much in the past few decades. It will never be "old school" again, the exposure is too much. If Craig had said he chewed him out and told him how bad he did, AU would be in a shite storm with PR and social media. It's just the way of the world and we'll never get real information from coaches as it pertains to how they handle a situation.

Imagine telling someone at the start of the 4th quarter "Hey there will be 100 points scored in this game"
