So we can't have coaches get on kids because they are fragile mentally? Maybe they need to be broken. Maybe you get in that arse and shatter that fragile psyche and then rebuilt them the way you want them.

That's what spring and fall practice is for.

Dear God THIS!!! The military does this....it works. Football coaches used to do this. Run that arse til you puke and do it again...yell at them, break them. Then mold them into the men you want them to be.

Screaming and challenging a guy for effort or just getting physically beaten may work. I don't see how ripping a guy that's giving 100% effort, but has stone hands is going to accomplish anything.

No, we don't. That's the problem.

Besides, as bad as Ricardo was today, he was the main reason we won the UK game and he made two monster plays to give us a chance today.

yeah, that didnt happen at all. This team has zero heart, zero chemistry. If Sean yelled at Rico for dropping the passes, Rico would throw a tantrum, just like Duke Williams would

Right, you do this in basic training not in the middle of combat.

I'm all for coaches breaking players, but you don't do it right after they lost a game. That's stuff you do in the offseason and in practice. Some kids can handle it during a game some can't. In fact some kids respond to being torn into. But that is something a coach finds out after ripping them all spring and summer.

if a player is giving 100% but still can't perform on the field because of stone hands, then the coach has to bite his lip and hope that he has better players next year. That is all he can do. Louis is no where near a #1 receiver and it's not right that we just assume he could take that role. Bitching at him won't change that fact.

Again, Ricardo Louis was the best player on the field the last game we played. You're going to bench him at halftime of the next game because he dropped a couple of passes?

We have true freshman playing at a lot of spots on the field, if the freshman WR were good enough they would be playing.

bro, bite his lip??? He wont be here next year if a change isnt made. Put ANYONE else in there to make a play.

We have a White WR that i have zero clue what his name is....he made two clutch catches.

Ricardo made none. Put the white guy in...(not racist, just dont know who the f the guy is- which is crazy bc i know every player lol)

Agree with this. It looked like real effort from the WRs, they just kept making physical mistakes. Any player young or old shouldn't be yelled at after a game like that unless they quit on the team - that isn't coddling or fragility of this generation- that's basic coaching at any level.

Now come practice next week, it's on. At least I hope it is.

Dude, he was good for one quarter...after that he dropped passes and was caught blocking on a pass play. Superstar one quarter, Sir drops alot since

That's not true. Ricardo made two extremely clutch grabs on the drive to tie. His only ones, but that's not zero.

We fricked up not going for 2 at the end of OT2. I texted this to my dad right after we kicked. I told him we're going to have to go for 2 anyway, might as well be now to end the game. We didn't. We lost.

Ricardo made two huge catches right before first overtime. 60 yards total within 29 seconds.

There were a lot of different WRs on the field tonight compared to last week. You think they didn't notice who was getting the ball?

You don't just give up on Ricardo after 2 bad quarters when he put up big numbers against UK. Yea he didn't do well 2nd quarter when his eye was gouged by takeo spikes wannabe
