This would be a completely different team with a dynamic QB

Wrong. Nick Marshall isn't shite without Greg Robinson/Jay Prosch basically creating an unstoppable running lane on one side of the field. This team is missing an OL first and foremost.

You think we need to wait out Gus? He's not getting any better; he's been exposed as a coach with serious flaws. What you're finding is that he's not even that smart offensively, we got straight conned.

You do realize Marshall played better in 2014 without Porsche/GRob/Mason right?

How did the offensive production compare?

Team production or his? He had better production in 2014

The team 15yard/game difference is almost entirely due to cupcake games running up the score

We brought the entire receiving core back, added Duke Williams, and he threw the ball more. The team was worse overall because we were relying on Marshall throwing more versus simply running over everyone.

This notion of Marshall "improving" in his second year is comical. His stats looked better because we added Williams and his pass attempts jumped significantly. More passing = more yards = more touchdowns. He still couldn't read a defense worth shite and he'd still make throws that blatantly explained why no NFL team would even bother trying him at QB. The minimal improvement he did make could easily be attributed to the fact that he was in his second year in the system (improvement is to be expected).
