I agree to that. I have a feeling once our Dline makes a impact, we are going to be air raided again this year. That has been where our problems start.

While that might be true, the only proven QBs we face this season are Dak, Brandon Allen (Arkansas), and Kyle Allen (A&M). I don't know how those teams' receivers re projected to be. LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia and Alabama all have questions at QB.

Even though the offense eventually shite in the bed against TAM, our defense was horrid that entire game.

When my wife can sit in the upper deck and accurately call A&M's next play and our defensive coordinator can't, you have problems.

So they did not care when the D won the game on the road on Thursday at Kansas State?

let me ask you a serious question. IYO was that the same defense (mindset wise) pre-Miss St as it was from about week 6 to the rest of the year? Do you really believe that we were as intense and focused of a defense in week 4 as we were in week 10?

I dont think QB's have to be proven to smoke our defense.

Its not required

This.

In fact, we have set many an unproven QB on the road to becoming proven.

In fact, lets all bow our heads, and Pastor Lanier will lead us in prayer that this trend ceases.

Amen!

Looks like he dropped some fat off that frame and cut up. He's going to be a monster before he leaves Auburn.

Perhaps I should have said starting instead of proven.

Throw away what A&M did to us last year and look what happened to LSU when a first year starter came to JHS. There is something to be said for game experience, and my point is we'll only face a few QBs who have that.

Other than playing at Neyland, whoever starts for UGA is going to come into the most hostile environment they'll face all season.

I think he is referring to

Connor Shaw
Tyler Wilson
Etc

Unfortunately, there are more examples than I care to remember. Even when Boom was DC the first time, we had a disturbing tendency to let inexperienced QBs push us around (Mitch Mustain, Matt Stafford come to mind).

The good news is, I seriously doubt we'll ever encounter a situation where a Boom defense holds an opponent's offense to 200 yards or less and we still lose, like MSU in '07 (or have to win in the final seconds, like Arky later that year).

Here's a good read on how Malzahn teaches his QB to read a defense. Goes over Cover 0, 1, 2, 2 man, 3, 3 robber, 4, & 42.

It's better viewed on non-mobile as it has some interactive diagrams.
