I was projected as NFL 1st rounder, but that was from my then 7 year old son after a father's vs sons flag football game. I was catching everything that game.

Kiper knows nothing.

Martavis Bryant, who is bigger, faster, and more explosive, and who also had a better season when he came out was a 4th round pick last season due to off-field concerns. NFL teams are going to uncover the fighting, practice and/or disciplinary issues, etc. easily. The extreme lack of D1 experience also negatively effects him. There's not a chance in hell he would have gone in the first round, none.

Do the Raiders have a first round pick?

Kiper knows more about that stuff then anyone on this board. That's all I know.

Do not get me wrong. I am excited about him returning. He just seemed to pretty clearly indicate he planned to be a one and done from the start and I thought he was being projected 1st or 2nd round.

With JJ at QB and the threat Auburn's running backs pose under Gus Duke can have a year similar to Cooper and make a ton of money.

I'm hoping Duke will indeed come back & work his arse off & drop some LBS in order to gain speed. With another year he could possibly be top 10 pick with JJ at QB. I'm actually worried if JJ lights it up next year he will be gone after his Jr. season.

That could happen, but in would step Sean White. First time in a while where I feel the QB position is strong from top to bottom.

I just re-read that article from December 11th. He does not state that he has Williams over Coates. He states "2nd round" for both, although says that Coates could be late first with Combine. The analysis itself was pretty non-existent as he makes sure to obviously point out that Combine performance would change everything, and that he doesn't know how they'll test. Basically it read like a guess-work article.

Kiper barely evaluates at this point. No one who follows the draft puts much stock into what he says anymore, he just coasts at this point. If you look over his rankings from last season you'll see numerous misses...like having Ka'Deem Carey as his #2 rated RB only to have him drafted 11th after a poor Combine. He also had Marqise Lee as his #2 WR, and Aaron Donald as his #3 DT (Donald ended up 13th overall and the second DL off the board).

That would only help with recruiting, IMO.

Is Queen a proven product though?

Not yet, but neither was JJ when he took his first college snap. No player is proven until they get their chance at this level. I have heard nothing but great things about Queen though.

For those of you still doubting his return:
