What did Gus do to make Duke not GAF and get into multiple fights?

Being an auburn football fan is like trying to train spot. For hours nothing happens, then, here come these big black Norfolk Southern locomotives pulling miles of cars so fast it scares you.

Then nothing. For hours.

I'm not surprised. Too high maintenance, don't let the door hit you in the arse, DUUUUUUUUUKE.

Maybe he'll get his crap together and find a spot on a roster. I think the odds are against him, not enough self-control and discipline.

I bet the houses in the picture can be had for a cheap price. Talk about a hit to property value.

have not idea why this years offense has been abysmal, but this will not change ONE thing and if your honest, you will admit that too

Well, it should actually improve perimeter blocking, which should help the offense.

Considering we can't throw and when we tried we didn't even throw his way, this isn't that bad.

If he was a good teammate who worked hard, would be a big loss. Considering he seems to be a cancer who doesn't even run block? Probably a positive

If Duke becomes a good NFL football player, do we claim him?

I say yes

exactly, he wasnt THE problem but he was definitely A problem. his problem came when his problematic side started to outweigh his effort and production. to me thats ultimately a shortcoming of Gus. we had enough talent to not put up with his bullshite and let it get to the point it could divide the team. shite like Duke Williams requires swift decisive punishment from the start. just cant show that type of weakness at this level of coaching.

Can we talk about how this has now happened twice in Gus' 3 years? That is a bad track record

Duke Williams 2015

He tends to retweet UF stuff. I could see him leaving. Unless we start developing players, I don't know that I would blame him.

yep. like I said its a shortcoming Gus has and the sooner he can realize it the sooner he can address it. Chizik had it, didnt serve him well either. they'd probably be real successful with that at FSU or Bama but we just dont pull it off.

He wouldn't leave for an sec school... unless he wants to walkon like Corey Grant did (or Gus grants him a release like golson got from ole miss).

When I woke up this morning, the first thing I saw was an email on my phone with the subject line reading "'Disappointed' Malzahn dismisse" and my first thought was we'd fired Gus overnight and was a little surprised but not shocked. Then I opened the email and saw the whole thing and wasn't surprised or shocked.

He wasn't a god.

He was a mere demi-god.

And he could do

I pointed out, after the game Saturday, that Duke has almost as many drops as he has catches. I also pointed out that he has been dogging it on the field and was told by several people that it was Gus' fault......not Duke's.

How is dogging it on the field and dropping footballs become Gus' fault?

Apparently, because Duke hasn't been in the game plan enough , he has every right to sulk and half-arse it......was also said by several people.

It wasn't as if we were to cut out Coates or Darvin Adams who were good teammates and talented. Duke arguably should have been off the team and was told he needed to "earn" his spot back. If Duke worked his tail off, it is hard to believe he wouldn't become a central role in our passing offense once he proved he was committed.

I don't have sympathy for the guy who from the UL game on didn't block, didn't run routes and didn't concentrate when the ball was thrown his way
