Apparently he said it on JOX this morning. Can't find anything other than an off-handed comment from a student whose name I recognize for some reason

Right before we hire a DC. Fantastic timing.

Anyone else think this might hurt things more than help THIS YEAR? How do you think Gus will feel knowing that his boss got fired because he hired him?

Seriously, if we're not going to fire Gus this year, then keep Jacobs until we're ready to hire a new HFC.

No way. I want a new, fresh perspective from the AD if we're bringing in a new coach. I think there are a number of coaches who would never come (back) to Auburn knowing Jacobs was still in charge.

Firing JJ and restructuring ASAP is going to be the best approach long-term. It is absolutely crucial we hire a competent, intelligent AD to replace him (if he is indeed gone...).

I honestly don't care about what happens with Gus or the new DC if JJ is shown the door. I believe the majority of coaches would be happy to see him leave too.
