What a waste of a trip. I see it every day and it still looks out of place

It almost looks cartoon-like big and top heavy...seems kinda clumsy.

Looks awful. I didn't like it originally and I still don't like it. Add to the fact that we are still talking to idiots that cannot fathom not having all your speakers in one place, and this is a giant waste of money.

I don't think it looks bad, I just wish they fixed the audio system before the scoreboard. Also wouldn't have minded chairbacks for non students

Yea, those would be nice.

It's going to be so awesome watching such a nice video board hearing the sound volume get adjusted from deafening loud to impossible to hear as the bass gets overdone. Such fun.

Has anyone seen what the plan is for the back of the video board? Because I am praying so hard it is not to leave it like this:

Bunch of twats in here. At least wait until it's done to start complaining.

What is the bezel made of? I know it probably isn't but it looks like gray wood siding in the rendering. People were complaining about a potential brick border, but to me that rendering just looks bizarrely out of place at JHS.

Well, on the bottom it'll be composed of several advertising signs. On the sides it looks to be brick with some white 'stone' accent pieces. On the top it'll be the huge speaker cabinet.

That's some rather large brick if so.

I love this thread. If someone not familiar with AU fans and culture asked me what we are like, I would show them this thread.

I think they have recessed rowlock or soldier coursings in the brick which make it appear as if it's made from larger bricks. There's another rendering in this thread where it's easier to see up close.

They're working around the clock now so I guess they got the memo that they were way behind.

They only had two options. Brick-and-mortar or cedar shingles. It is state-of-the-art after all.

I'm surprised they didn't incorporate a gabled roof with asphalt shingles and maybe a cute gable vent.

Neither. That would be the last 2 things that would've happened. Somewhere there's a manufacturing facility that got the order on short notice Nad had to ramp up production by a considerable amount to try and push it out the door in time.. the logical conclusion is that we have a couple boards back ordered. This hasn't stopped or yielded progress though it might look that way visually.
