Is this a new trick play in the Malzahn book, crouching tiger hidden pig?

His dad is saying that Carl hasn't made a decision yet. I'm sure they are trying to gauge where he'll be drafted and see if he's better off being drafted in rounds 2-4 now, or coming back trying to remain injury free, having a monster year, and being a first round draft pick.

Please let him stay. I think if he stays and is healthy all next season he could be a first round draft pick easily.

There is no way a player has 5 career sacks and extensive injury history is RDs 2-3. Unless he puts up near record combine numbers, Lawson will be lucky to be RD5

Carl Lawson would have to have a Nick Fairley type year + legit combine to be a RD1 pick due to his injury history. Especially with Myles Garret, Derek Barnett and Marquis Haynes all in the SEC & same draft class, there is a ton of competition

Carl Lawson could end up a DaQuan Bowers. Bowers' injury concerns caused him to go from competing for #1 pick in 2011 to late RD2 after unanimous All American + Nagurski Trophy season
