Happy for Bo. If he had stayed, we would still be debating if/when Harsin would get fired.

Williams or Bo will knock each other out in the PAC championship or if Utah knocks off USC will knock Williams out.
Utah already beat USC three weeks ago, 43-42. Rising ran in a two point conversion with 28 seconds left. Aside from the 2013 Iron Bowl, it was the best football game I've witnessed.

Williams|USC - 25/42, 381 yards, 5 TD
Rising|Utah - 30-44, 415 yards, 2 TD

Williams was damn near perfect in the first half and Rising was better in the second half. Utah needs to win out (Stanford, @Oregon, Colorado) to make it back to the PAC-12 Championship. USC needs to win out (Cal, Colorado, UCLA) and a Utah loss. Oregon has Utah and UDub left and needs one win. UCLA still has a shot as well if they beat USC. Utah has a ton of significant injuries so I think Utah will lose to Oregon on the road and it'll be USC vs. Oregon in the championship. Stranger things have happened though.

What's up with the passing defenses in the PAC-12 alpine

In that particular USC/Utah game you had 2 NFL caliber QBs and USC has 3-4 NFL type WRs. Utah has 3 NFL TEs and Kincaid (TE #2) caught 16 balls for 280 yards in that game. USC was using bracket coverage by the end against Kincaid and still couldn't stop it.

On the PAC-12 in general, my theory is that most teams don't have the talent and depth on the lines that teams do in the SEC. More time to pass, quicker to exhaustion, etc... Exceptions to that theory are Oregon, Utah, and USC once they start recruiting lineman again. Also, the top six in the PAC-12 are usually as solid as other Power 5 conferences - but probably lacking a top 3 type team - but the bottom 6 is consistently garbage. Half of the teams couldn't care less about football. There are some good coaches at those schools too, but no support. Both Oregon State and Wash State have really good coaches with innovative offensive schemes but my guess is that they won't have the NIL $$ to compete consistently.

They may have gone out on “friendly” terms but I guarantee you Papa Nix saw the writing on the wall and very early on, being the HC at Central Phoenix and seeing the shitshow that was Harsin recruiting up close and personal.

Where were all these NFL players against a very bad UF team?

No I didn’t. I just wanted us in our best position to win.

“Anybody but Bo” is a piss poor representation of an Auburn fan.

Bo left because he wanted to put himself in a better position to succeed. It wasn't due to fans or social media.

Honestly we should thank Bo. If he stuck around, we may be better this year and Harsin may still be here

I know he wanted to be somewhere to succeed but we gave him no reason to stay. His sisters and fiancé said as much.

He stupidly walked into an aging malzahn era. That’s not an Auburn issue. That’s life. The program was declining with a coach who didn’t care anymore.

Perhaps the Nix’s should’ve better evaluated young Bo’s college choices, rather than make him #10 like daddy. I hope Bo makes the NFL and happy he’s having a good season.

It wasn’t a wise decision to pick Gus but who am I too criticize that he gave my favorite team a shot.

We aren’t the wake forest bottom feeders that give what little we have to the best. We are a football factory and shouldn’t have to have starting QBs transfer to achieve their goals. That issue hopefully gets cleaned up.

The biggest tragedy of the last couple years of Malzahn + Harsin disaster is Bo + Tank timing their Auburn careers so badly

Maybe, maybe not, but there was palpable hate on the dude starting with the loss at the swamp his freshmen year. Some of it is the nature of sports and social media these days but I'm convinced some of it because people who have burned by legacies in their own life just wanted the dude to fail. He was the most criticized AU player in quite a while.

Like 75% of AU fans probably knew or understood nothing about the OL and WR and coaching situation around him so it was always gonna be tough for the guy. Most people just don't understand football. I just wish people had not been so loud about it. He got boo'd when announced starter at a couple home games
Like almost all fans, we saw how poorly he played at the Swamp, then again at LSU. He wasn't ready and I put that squarely on Gus. What Gus did to him in Gainesville, was borderline criminal. Then we have the GA State game last year. It's clear that he has the talent, just never had competent coaching. I'm sure he's probably getting the best coaching now, than he's ever had as a college QB, but he's also playing in a conference that isn't exactly known for defense.

You are goddam right! We lose to freaking GA STATE if Finely doesn't come in. If Tank stays inbounds, we win the Iron Bowl.

Don't act like Nix was consistent, by any stretch of the imagination, regardless of whose fault it was.

Newsflash: Post Nix, we lose to everybody! How did Finley make us any fricking better? Was consistently horrible the consistency you wanted ?

Consistency isn’t an option when any DL you play with a pulse is running free at you as soon as the ball is snapped.

Bo Nix was a bad QB because of the swamp, dreamteam LSU game, Georgia State and A&M therefore we need Finley to lose every game for us instead.
