if this guy can just break tendencies and manage substitutions/personnel packages half way decent we could probably even get away with continuing to run whirlybird and twirlybird and still be successful.
and for crying out loud use a TE again... and teach him to do the Lutzy!

I think it was a solid hire and I hope I never see the whirly bird again.

I believe the average to below average Oline play this past season doesn't get talked about enough. Even after the switch...we played poorly against Clemson, A&M then also played poorly against uga, Bama and Oklahoma the only teams who had true NFL quality Dlines. We also played average against Vandy which was a top 40 D.
IMO our playcalling made EVERYONE'S job on offense a hell of a lot tougher. It's a hard enough game to play without the other team pretty much knowing what you're doing.

Where are you seeing that Vanderbilt is a top forty D? I'm seeing top 65.
