Ellis Johnson at his presser today

About Jake Holland

quote:

A lot of his issues were just fatigue. Jake played as well as Kris overall

Not about Jake Holland

quote:

Garrett and Cass are rotating at weak-side linebacker. Therezie is locked in at star.

He said they prepared for both QBs, so he wasn't surprised to see Dak Prescott play so much

I'm seeing a score similar to the TCU game (38-28).

The LSU offense has talent and potential. The defense is young and inexperienced. Lots of talent, but they will have a few mishaps and I believe Auburn will be able to score some.

35-24 LSU is my call.

I would like to think we are better than TCU. I have never once been impressed with a TCU team. I believe on a yearly basis they are overrated from a talent perspective and their lack of competition supports their shitty foundation.

At least Boise State turns dirt into diamonds with their players. TCU just never would play anyone.

Just look at last year when they were a top 20 team in the Big 12 and limped to a 7-6 record.

This year they start off 1-2

I agree, but it was the first game of the season and LSU gifted TCU some points (Blue fumbled on our own 5 and they scored 2 plays later). The LSU-TCU game easily could have been 45-21. I don't see the Auburn-LSU game being that way. The LSU offense and defense have improved since that game, but I still have Auburn holding the LSU to fewer points and scoring on the defense.

eta: And if you look at the first few predictions, my score is on par (if not more favorable towards Auburn) with most of those.

We haven't faced a true read option spread yet. Big difference between an Ole Miss team and Wash St for instance
That's exactly what MSU ran yesterday.

And even as the backup, Prescott has the same number of carries as Wallace.

Back in august, any auburn fan who wouldn't take 3-1 going into the bye week is an idiot. That won't change fans from melting down this time next week though.

Joey, the majority of Dak Prescott's carries were QB powers and designed draw plays. Yes he ran the read option but not to the extent that Ole Miss runs it.

That is because Bro Wallace does not get designed run plays and is better at running the read option

If CDjr and Mincy can play solid coverage on Moncreif and Treadwill, we should be solid. Unlike Prescott and Perkins, Scott+Wallace are not the inside runners and our star position with Therezie excels at playing runs off tackle

Ellis Johnson is absolutely senile if he thinks Holland played well at all. If he plays against LSU it will be a massacre.

No. They ran the read option the majority of the game. His QB power runs were on short yardage plays.

And yet Ole Miss has one more total rushing attempt over MSU.

What exactly would you classify Mullens offense with DP running it then?

It seems that most Auburn fans here have more confidence in their defense and less in their offense (or perhaps they just don't believe in the LSU offense and are familiar with a typical LSU defense).

I actually believe Auburn will score a bit. The LSU defense is talented, but young.

Same here, I think Malzahn can put in a lot of motions and bullshite to confuse, hopefully Nick can actually capitalize when those WR's are running wide open this time. But LSU's offense is actually pretty damn good for once.

I'll say 27-42

WR open deep? Throws ball 5 yards over receivers head. Every. Damn. Time.

I wanna go with my "shock the world" pick of 28-24 Auburn but 35-24 LSU seems a lot more realistic. I had this penciled in as a loss so a win is just gravy.

I just hope its close and Chris Davis is healthy by gametime.

You should have let your balls do the talking, and you almost did.

If Holland starts and Jay keeps whiffing on blocks then I see a bad game coming... If frost starts and Kay shows us why he was all American at Illinois then I can see the upset especially with LSU looking at uga... 21-17 auburn!
