At the time, I'd agree. There's something deep down though causing this to happen. It's naive to say it's all Malzahn's fault. We all know the meddling didn't stop with Tuberville.

We have lost 11 games in two years... staff turnover isn't some catastrophe.

Gus either gets it right, or we start over... I'm fine with either scenario.

The way I look at it is Gus is going into survival mode. He is bringing in people that are close to him to replace people he was asked to hire when he came. He hired Hand, who he was with at Tulsa, he hired Steele who has a long history in the business. Steele is also a pro and Gus can trust him. There probably is some shite going down in the AD and Gus is circling the wagons with people he knows will be loyal to him. He was here the last time JJs minions undermined the previous staff.

I'm having a lot of fun with this melt. But your post pretty much sums up the reality of the situation.

I think he may be alluding to more than coaching staff issues.

Pretty much, there's a common denominator.

Yeah, I have noticed that as well, which is fine but then why not help push change if you feel there is something inherently wrong?
He maybe trying to help. Getting stuff out in the media is more anyone a message board is going to get done.

I don't think you can look at all the coaches that have departed already and not think there is something fundamentally wrong with either the program or the AD.

I desperately want to see us move on from Jay Jacobs. My fear is that I don't see how that decision is going to gain any momentum unless he decides himself. At Michigan, their student body came together and demanded change, and I wish the Auburn student body would show the same incentive.

my gut instinct says frick you Gus and I stick by that. I am just about sick of his stubbornness and panic stricken spiel come gameday. I can see why DC would be frustrated and his input was probably 1000% better than what he was protesting in any given situation. but, and you knew there would be a big fat hairy but, had he spent all that time he was seething about his input not being heeded teaching HIS group how to fricking catch, run routes maybe the play calls become acceptable. wouldnt have taken much to take that 6-6 to 9-3. do YOUR job before you worry about someone else.

TLDR: I am sick of all these god damn pussies. time for everything regarding AU football to nut up or shut up.

Feel your pain but posting it drunk only makes it worse on you.

I never said much because AU people love DC, but he sucks as a position coach. If he wasn't our former QB, all of you would have wanted him fired this year.

DC is one of my all-time favorite Auburn players, but I have to agree with you on this. The development of our WR's has been piss poor, IMO. I hate to see him go......but hope Gus brings in a guy who can actually coach the position.

Yeah. But we arent going to live it down by LSU and Bama fans bc he's from Auburn. Idk who I want but all they r going to see is that he is from Auburn and left.

Well I don't see that until Gus is gone. Idt he has a clue anymore and we r going to suffer until JJ figures that out.
