Chex, you called it. We can indeed whoop UMASS!

Thorne looked good throwing the ball, Robbie looked good running it. OL opened holes and secondary was opportunistic. Special teams played exceptional as well.

Only downside was LB. Keys was terrible. I hope he gets bumped down to third string.

I'm less than excited about Ashford's contribution. I expect Robbie to look great running the ball. It seems like we kicked the can down the road with Ashford running I would have liked to see QB1 leading us in the redzone. Ashford really needs to pass in the redzone if he is going to be a legit weapon. If he can do that i would rather watch him start.

I am pretty neutral on Thorne.

I agree with this. I was happy for Robby to be successful, but it feels like Freeze is trying to make everyone happy and its going to bite us in the arse at some point.

Plus what does it do to Thornes confidence when you yank him in the redzone every time? He is our starting Qb ffs.

Against great teams, the Redzone Robbie only works if he can pull up and hit a receiver in the end zone. If he can’t, they’ll load up and it’ll be tough sledding.

Yea I really hope it was the exception and not the rule for this season. We did very little offensively, so I really hope it was something we were able to do with who the opponent was.

We have a greygoose sighting and he is still shilling for "Finely"

quote:

Can't help but wonder what if the same guy who put Willis in the NFL, had Finely?

We are talking about the same Finely that looked like arse in the spring game and Freeze told him to leave himself.

Greygoose, you are gonna blind squirrel into that nut one day, son.

If not for some bullshite 3rd string TD, the final score I predicted was almost spot on.

Its UMASS. The worst team in college football. They averaged 12.5 points per game last year.

Chizik, Gus, Harsin would be struggling and down 17-10 and stinking this place up. I have not witnessed a 12 yard slant caught in 20 years. I'm not sure what you guys are watching but 32 rows up they look good for 44 new players. New coaches, new players better prepared and better coaches.
145 pass, 132 rush.

This is Auburn fandom that I really crack up about. Never change you bunch of Chexminions.

---For one they would rather trash two coaches that have taken them to the highest of the CFb spectacles.

---Number two, they were saying the exact same shite about Harsin when he was whooping up on some irreelevant team by 40. People were praising his demeanor on the sideline since he wasnt twirling his hands into circles and yelling "boom" all the time. They loved the offense, the defense, and the discipline.

And borotiger,

you calling Thorne the starter, but Ashford the starter in the red zone is fricking retarded.

Not sure what you are laughing at dip shite, our defense literally held them to one td. Sure you can puff your chest up for the 3rd string defense TD and say see, more than one, but we both know they werent scoring again against our first or second team defense.

Auburn performed better than you expected. Period. Suck it Lanier

I’m just laughing at Chex. As usual.

I said multiple times it pretty much looked like I thought it would.

Not better, not worse. We really did not learn a lot.

So we are not going to count how their first string QB was gashing us before he got injured on the end of the first drive?

Do you feel like we would have been able to keep them at bay with him at 100% the rest of the game?

That QB for UMass reminded me of playing Utah State in 2011, and I think if that QB wasn’t injured UMass would have given us fits. Probably wouldn’t have won, but they could have scored 20-30 points plus.
