Anyone who gets their hopes up on Fields, Ross, Asa Martin, or Coynis Miller are going to be extremely disappointed. I just write them off, then if we do sign any of them, it will be like Christmas morning.
Which is why I just read this thread every so often... I can't follow as intensely as I used to

I used to be like TigerPaw. Always bringing recruiting tidbits over from Rivals, 247 and Scout (when I had borrowed accounts), and details from Tigerettes. It was fun for a while. I used to log on and watch the camp videos and all (I remember Carl Lawson and Dee Liner dominated that big camp they went to together).
Too many "look at me" kids now. Just got tired of it.
Glad to see some people bring quality info to this thread for whenever I check it.

LSU has offered Joseph Foucha. We will see if they become a factor
Good lord how many kids are they taking in this class? And of course they will become a factor, he'll probably commmit there within the week. #backupschoolU

I get that. For me recruiting is just something that makes football a 365 day of the year sport and helps make the offseason not feel so long. Key is you can't get too high or too low on stuff otherwise it will make you miserable

I have seen anywhere from 28-30 this class. That's part of the reason Orgeron is taking some many projects. He's trying to rebuild goodwill instate and really trying to capitalize on package deals. Will be interesting to see how much of these big fish they can reel in

Eh maybe. He's said before that they have waited too long to offer but I am curious to see how true that is

FWIW an AU source says it's likely we lose Monday to Clemson.

Good thing we play them on a Saturday.

Tae Provens just committed to LSU. They are taking anyone and everyone right now

Honestly surprised LSU taking Provens. He's not really their style of back and with a guy like Joiner still out there you would think they would wait. O seems hell-bent on class being done by start of season

Canada does love the fly sweep. Could fit there well
Of the commits to other teams past 2 weeks this is one that bothers me the least. Shivers is a similar back with less size but more speed
Still would be nice if we could celebrate a commitment (looking at you Shedrick...)

Texas 247 guy CBd Foucha to us

https://247sports.com/Article.... (oops - if already posted)
quote:
CLASS RANKING: No. 49 overall, No. 10 in the SEC. By comparison, Georgia is at No. 59 with the same amount of commits. Alabama is at No. 65 with four commits. Auburn recruits against those two programs more than any others.
AVERAGE RATING PER COMMIT: 89.06 (90.00 is the 4-star threshold). Auburn’s total number of commits has some fans concerned, but the average rating per commit remains strong — it’s higher than four programs currently in the top 10 of the 247Sports team rankings.

The linked article is the Provens commit article, not a AU team ranking article.
quote:Incorrect. > 89.00 is the 4* threshold on the composite. Example. Our per recruit average is 16th in the nation. We will get our numbers just like everybody else. We just have to pick up the pace a bit on the caliber recruit we are landing.
