Tigers check out Etowah (Ala.) prospects (247)
quote:

Want to thank one of our subscribers for passing this along. ...

Auburn RB coach Tim Horton was at Etoway (Ala.) on Thursday to check on the following prospects .....

2019
WR Emil Smith 6'1 180
CB Justin Harris 6'2 175
DE/OLB Jamin Graham 6'5 220
DT Jessie Altman 6'1 305

2020
QB DeRickey Wright 6'4 185

2021
WR Ollie Finch 6'3 170

Invited them all to season opener. Wants them all to set up future visits.

Also ... that school is home to center Peyton Nance, who will be a preferred walk-on with the Tigers.

Lot of talent at Etowah right now .... I am sure I'll be mentioning these players a lot more in the future.

STOP 1 - Lithonia (Ga.) Miller Grove: Three-star buck end target Caleb Tannor is extremely high on Auburn and has visited the Tigers three times in four weeks. But he isn't in a hurry to make a decision. Alabama, Florida and Georgia are other programs to watch.

STOP 2 - Atlanta (Ga.) Carver: Four-star safety Quindarious Monday has Auburn in front and is all Tigers at this time. It wouldn't surprise us if he joined the commit list in the near future.

STOP 3 - Oxford (Ala.): Four-star 2019 center Clay Webb is high on both Auburn and Alabama and said it probably will come down to those two programs. He'll visit Georgia on Saturday.

Stop 4 - Odenville (Ala.) Saint Clair County: Three-star defensive tackle Jalen Cunningham is close to picking Alabama. Auburn offered this week, but he seems to be all Tide.

STOP 5 - Decatur (Ala.) Austin -- Florida leads according to 4-star running back Asa Martin, but Auburn is a close second and it could go either way. The Tigers have some momentum and will host him June 3 for Big Cat Weekend.

STOP 6 - Pinson Valley (Ala.): Four-star 2019 quarterback Bo Nix is an Auburn legacy, but he hasn't started to officially narrow things down. He is the Tigers' top quarterback target in that class.

STOP 7 - Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville: Four-star 2019 offensive tackle Pierce Quick has Auburn No. 2 on his list, but the Tide is No. 1 by a large margin.

STOP 8 - Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin: Auburn is a top contender for 4-star defensive tackle Coynis Miller, but several programs are involved including Alabama, Clemson, Florida and LSU. This recruitment probably will go late into the cycle.

STOP 9 - Pleasant Grove (Ala.): Auburn and Alabama are the favorites for 4-star safety Myles Mason. The Tigers have made a big move of late. If Alabama pushes, it could be tough to beat. If not, Auburn has a real shot.

STOP 10 -- Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook: Four-star running back Harold Joiner says Auburn and LSU stand out -- but LSU probably has the edge at the moment. Alabama, which recently offered, does not appear to be a huge factor at this time.

STOP 11 -- Cottondale (Ala.) Paul Bryant: Auburn and Alabama look like the top schools for 4-star receiver Seth Williams. Do the Tigers have a shot? It sounds like it. He says they're recruiting him harder than anyone else.

STOP 12 - Maplesville (Ala.): Mississippi State is surging with 4-star ATH/LB/WR Nathaniel Watson. The reason? He says the Bulldogs are recruiting him hardest. It's a tie at the top right now between Auburn and Mississippi State.

STOP 18 - Phenix City (Ala.) Central: Auburn, Alabama and Clemson are the top contenders for 5-star receiver Justyn Ross. He does not plan to make a commitment until after his senior season because he wants to watch each program closely this fall. Two Auburn coaches stopped by his school Thursday.
