There are literally like 3 starters on this list (Lawson, lambert, Davidson) and 2 OTs. Calling for moving Lbers to DE is not a sign of a good depth or recruiting. And if Bryant is a bust, We have nothing. Which circles back to my original point.
Next time I'll be more specific in that Garner shits the bed in both recruiting and roster management so you will not get your panties in a wad.

I have heard our staff is very confident in landing Fields.
The thing with recruits, you never know what they are telling other staffs.
I agree, which is why I'm confident....because Mikecb22's source is on the FSU staff and directly recruiting Fields. So this is ANOTHER staff telling him that we have a big, big lead for Fields.
I think the only reason for the big confidence from the UGA side is his mother, and she apparently isn't very involved at all in Fields' decision. It's apparently more his dad that is involved in the decision.

Well I already said complain about what happens after the fact if you want but again it's not a recruiting issue as proven by the list above.

It is a recruiting issue when you don't adjust recruiting numbers to compensate for it

12 DEs in 5 years? Seems reasonable to me.

I can only remember a couple of those guys being talked about outgrowing the position during the recruiting process.
Even still is there any position we haven't had a major lacking at in talent/production besides maybe OL and RB?
So again, why single out Garner? Our LBs, Secondary, QB, WR (outside of the Craig, Davis, Stove class) recruiting has all been way worse.

Didn't we kind of slow play Key in hopes of pulling Cowert, Cece Jefferson, and Terry Beckner Jr.? I remember being pissed about how the recruitment of Key went down.

That's who my question was addressed to.
Also, there aren't a lot of Arden Key's out there but yea that turned out to be a big miss for a guy we were trending for pretty late in the process.
Kinda related, but just saw we got another CB for Jibunor. Does he project as a guy that can become an edge rusher or more of a true OLB?

ALL THE 3 STARS BELONG TO US!

Good stuff. I really like Sherwood. Between him and Monday, somebody is going to get their head taken off.

For Jamien Sherwood, the third visit to Auburn was the charm.
The 3-star safety from Jensen Beach (Fla.), a top Auburn target, silently committed to the Tigers on Saturday during the program’s recruit cookout then made it official Tuesday with an announcement on TCpalm.com. He also considered programs such as Florida and Michigan.
“There was something about Auburn that just stuck out to me,” Sherwood said.
For Auburn, Sherwood is public commitment No. 11 and the second this week. Four-star linebacker Michael Harris of Tucker (Ga.) went public with his verbal Monday.
The Tigers are now ranked No. 30 in the 247Sports recruiting team rankings.
With Sherwood on board, Auburn has two safeties committed (Sherwood and Quindarious Monday) and has two others committed who could play there — athlete Kolbi Fuqua and star/safety Josh Marsh.
The 6-feet-2, 195-pound Sherwood is the No. 33 safety nationally in the industry generated 247Sports Composite.
The Tigers began to lock in on him this spring — and that work paid off for defensive backs coach Greg Brown, who not only is Sherwood’s position coach but his area recruiter.
“Coach Greg is a great guy,” Sherwood said. “Very funny. He has coached a lot of teams and coached in the NFL. Me learning under him and him knowing so many coaches in the NFL will help me.”
Sherwood is Auburn’s second commitment from talent-rich atlantic coast of Florida. He joins all-purpose back Shaun Shivers of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep, who also attended the cookout Saturday at Auburn.
Sherwood's visit last weekend was his third to Auburn this year. He was joined by his mother, who he said also has fallen in love with the Tigers.
“She watched this video they showed about manhood and she loved it,” Sherwood said. “From then on, we were sitting in the room and the only thing she was waiting on was me. And we just committed. It felt right that I commit when I was there.”
Sherwood will be a December graduate.
He potentially could visit other programs, but right now he isn’t thinking about that.
“It feels great to be committed to Auburn,” Sherwood said. “It’s something I’ve worked for. I’m just happy I don’t have to worry about as many coaches texting me any more. I feel like I’ve got a weight off my back.”
