Yea, this makes no sense to me.

This is how the Raiders draft, hasn't worked out too well for them.

That's the whole point of these camps... Everyone does it including Bama and plenty others

Went from 6'3 to 6'2 to 6'1.5. Which one is it?

He is an Auburn Man for life who earned an offer from his dream school. I like it. And Spencer Pybus was a good freshman LBer, concussions ruined his career.

Lame. Spencer Priebus 2.0. We don't need camp/workout warriors we need football players.
He's white = he is not a good football player

Pybus, and he was a freshman All-American, IIRC.

WTF, why are we offering a bunch of low 3 *s when we are supposed be having our big recruiting event bringing in the big dogs.
On Marsh He's likely a LB/SS hybrid for us. The only known major target we are recruiting for that spot is Quay Walker. He's committed to Bama so might as well offer an athletic kid who showed out at camp.

On Rosegreen's kin, there aren't any "big dog" corners visiting for the cookout tomorrow & we aren't in a good spot for any big dogs there now so might as well offer him too if he showed out at camp also. We want 1-2 corners in the class.

I am happy about the Marsh commitment. He will get more offers.

losing Jenkins,
Losing ain't the same thing as not taking my friend. I think he's overrated myself & am glad we are passing on him right now.

I'd pay to see him say that to Will Herring's face.

I hate to shat on Randy's crybarnering parade but FWIW Mikecb says Marsh has zero impact on our LB recruiting and says we are very close to adding a big time 4* LB.

If bama had got them, they would be high 4*'s tomorrow morning.

frick that star system.

Find football players/make them better football players.

The end.

Its as if a 6-3 220 lb athlete that runs a 4.5 isnt worth giving a scholarship to. He may not be the most "talented" or highly recruited kid out there, but he is a die hard Auburn fan that has dreamed of playing at Auburn his entire life. If he is football savvy and is coachable, I'll take him.

Yep you guys showed me, you had to go back almost 15 years to find a player to compare him to that actually contributed at AU.

Could be a good special teams contributor.

I think their track record speaks for itself. A project or two isn't bad when your other 25 recruits are high 4 and 5 stars.

Oh, you're one of those. Nevermind I won't continue wasting my time.

Sounds like a perfect fit for a preferred walk-on.

Liked your rhyme, added to it:

quote:

If Bama had got'em, high 4*'s in the morning.
Fricking star system, paying them, not to come here.

Finding football players, making'em rich quicker
Ole Miss or Bama them, to the end... Football

You know it, had high hopes for this weekend

Not sure how landing two surprise commits, one being a top 5 player in next year's class doesn't make your hopes HIGHER for this weekend

quote:

so far we look to be losing Jenkins

No actually after Trey Hill visited it looks like we are passing on him. Also he's a guy that if AU wants later they can probably get

quote:

Fields is everywhere but Auburn

He spent the night last week....

Miller and Ross can't make it

Ross was planning on it (was on the initial visitor lists) but turns out he had 7v7 event. Miller's last visit was supposed to be this weekend to Florida but now he plans on taking one final visit to AU next week

quote:

we are offering and taking commits from kids being recruiting by Bowling Green.

When we first offered Coynis Miller, Bowling Green was his only offer. We are offering and taking commits from kids who put up eye popping numbers at our camps. You have camps to find some of these under the radar guys and AU thinks they found one. Won't have any affect on recruiting guys like Zakoby McClain or Michael Harris
