QUAY WALKER, OLB/BUCK
My Crystal Ball pick: Alabama
Level of Confidence: Low
Breakdown: Auburn has started to become more of a factor of late. The Tide is trending at the moment. But the Tigers are very much a factor. He's former teammates with 2017 Auburn signee Markaviest Bryant. Look for Walker to visit Auburn soon. Georgia leads in the Crystal Ball, but we don't see the Bulldogs being a major contender at this time.
It's crazy to me that UGA might miss out on Brenton Cox, Michael Harris, Richard Jibunor, Adam Anderson, Zakoby McClain. Quay Walker and JJ Peterson. They are getting worked at the LB spot early on after that big year last year

QUINDARIOUS MONDAY, S
My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn
Level of Confidence: High
Breakdown: The Tigers have a big edge and a commitment seems likely. Could it happen soon? He'll attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3.

quote:
MATTHEW HILL, WR
My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn
Level of Confidence: High
Breakdown: Unless something drastic changes, we think Hill is Auburn bound. He could pop soon -- especially if he attends Big Cat Weekend.

quote:
MICHAEL HARRIS, LB
My Crystal Ball pick: Ohio State
Level of Confidence: Medium
Breakdown: If Ohio State pushes, we like the Buckeyes' chances. Auburn is running No. 2 -- and he'll attend Big Cat Weekend on June 3. That will be trip No. 3 to Auburn this year alone. The Tigers have a shot.
Teradja Mitchell announces this week. Looking like FSU but if he does choose Buckeyes then I think AU might just get Harris

quote:
RICHARD GOURAIGE, OT
My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made
Level of Confidence: N/A
Breakdown: Auburn is in contention and continues to heavily recruit him and he is likely to visit again this summer, but Florida leads.
Watch out for LSU. Has them 2nd and hasn't visited yet

quote:
JALYN ARMOUR-DAVIS, CB
My Crystal Ball pick: Alabama
Level of Confidence: Medium
Breakdown: Until recently, we believed this to be a two-team race between Auburn and FSU. But now it's our opinion Alabama has surged in front. Armour-Davis planned to announce his decision Friday but delayed it (thanks to some pushing from Auburn). That's a positive for Auburn, but the Tigers still have lots of work to do.
Interesting tidbit there. AU might be reason he pushed his decision just like Bama was probably reason he pushed his original decision earlier this year. I will be more salty losing Armour-Davis than Ross honestly

quote:
TREY HILL, OG
My Crystal Ball pick: Georgia
Level of Confidence: High
Breakdown: The Tigers keep hanging around, but most think it'll be Georgia or Clemson with FSU also near the top. That said, Hill could visit Auburn twice this summer, starting with Big Cat Weekend.
Unless he visits next weekend I am just gonna assume we have no shot
Posted on 5/28/17 at 10:22 am to TigerPaw1
quote:
JUSTYN ROSS, WR
My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn
Level of Confidence: Low
Breakdown: While Auburn continues to lead in the Crystal Ball, many believe Ross is now trending Alabama. The good news for Auburn: He'll be at Big Cat Weekend on June 3 -- and his mother probably will be with him. And... he is not expected to make a commitment for awhile.
His recruitment has now just begun with his mom back. We got some work to do this weekend on him

quote:
JUSTIN FIELDS, QB
My Crystal Ball pick: No pick made
Level of Confidence: N/A
Breakdown: Fields is committed to Penn State, but that seems shaky. Florida and Auburn may have the best chance of flipping him. Most of the people we've talked to do not think he sticks with his current verbal.
Luke Stampini the 247 UF writer had update yesterday saying AU has definitely gotten into the race. Would love for him to visit this weekend but not sure it's likely

KN put up an update on our CB recruiting this morning. Says that even with Jalyn Armour-Davis trending to Bama it doesn't look like we are pushing for 3* CB JaKorey Hawkins right now. He says he talks to AU like once every 2 weeks. Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Penn State, Troy & West Virginia are recruiting him hardest right now. Doesn't speak with Greg Brown and contact with AU has been minimal since the offer.
So who are we recruiting? 4* Kyler McMichael and 3* Juanyeh Thomas appear to be two top targets. AU leads for Thomas and is pushing for McMichael. KN says we should no more about AU's chances with McMichael if he visits for BCW. If he does and AU nails visit good chance we become a real contender.
Some other names include:
- 3* Kendrick Torain: really likes AU & UNC. Should visit this summer
- 3* Stanley Garner: listed us in his recent top 11 and plans to visit
- 3* DJ Crossen: AU offered recently
- 4* Jaycee Horn: Apparently he is very high on our board but Bama is trending (though he recently said SCAR was a top team too). KN says not completely sure if he is a take for Bama but AU staff loves him
- 4* Jordan Miner: Rumor is he wants to visit this summer so we will see
- 4* Christian Tutt: Has a top 3 of Bama, Nebraska & Ohio State. Did not mention AU despite visiting recently however he's apparently very high on our board possibly higher than he is on board for Bama & Ohio State. KN did say watch out for the Cornhuskers
So right now we get Juanyeh Thomas and no idea after that. I am worried that Greg Brown is more of a find under the radar guys than someone who can battle for top talent. I mean if those under the radar guys pan out that's cool I just wish we could recruit top CB talent. Not sure we have ever signed a 5* CB

Plan on updating OP screenshots this week and will be doing another snapshot post with June starting this week. I suspect we get a lot of news next weekend at BCW

2017 signees arrive today. Calvin Ashely enrolled a week or so ago. KN says that one signee's enrollment will be delayed but has not said who yet. Here's who he's confirmed to have arrived
3* S Jordyn Peters
4* OT Austin Troxell
4* RB Devan Barrett
4* DE Markaviest Bryant --> rooming with Barrett
4* LB Tadarian Moultry
4* WR Noah Igbinoghene --> en route but good to go
3* DT Tyrone Truesdell
3* WR JaTarvious Whitlow
3* DL Alec Jackson
3* TE John Samuel Shenker --> rooming with Troxell
So Britt, Askew, Brahms, Cannella, Willis, Wooten & Stidham all enrolled early add that to whose listed above and here's who is still missing:
3* S Carlito Gonzalez
3* CB Traivon Leonard
3* K Anders Carlson
Really hope it's not Gonzalez that is delayed. We need safety help... Considering that Leonard tweeted a bunch yesterday about being home for the last time and heading off I am betting it's gonna be Gonzalez that is gonna be delayed

Arrival delayed for AU signee (247)
quote:
Sunday is move-in day for the Auburn signees who didn't enroll in January. Most of those players already have have arrived on campus to move into their dorms.
One 2017 signee, however, is having his arrival delayed.
According to safety signee Carlito Gonzalez of Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson, he won't get to Auburn until later this summer.
"I will be arriving in June," Gonzalez told AuburnUndercover.com. "Family emergency. No questions or interviews though I'll be there very soon and way before fall camp."
He added, "Everything will be good. I will be in those Plains and once I'm there I'm not going anywhere."
Gonzalez was the No. 29 safety nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

KN confirms Leonard has arrived. Only waiting on Legatron 2.0

Carlson won't be in till June. Apparently he had to go to a wedding in Sweden... Carlson and Gonzalez are expected to make it to campus in June according to KN

I think Gonzalez is gonna be a damn good one.

KN reporting that 4* WR Kearis Jackson gonna be at BCW. UGA lean but apparently we are making it a battle

Same here. Maybe it's just that gangster-arse name.
Don't ever go against the fambly.

Definitely one of my favorite from that class. He is going to have to be careful about targeting, but he brings it. I loved it when Stephenson was one of the weekly PBS games in ATL, or being live steamed.
He can play WR in a pinch as well.
