100% committed to AU but Maryland is a real threat.

Good luck with all that Stephon Diggs, if you want to try all that.

That's all I really have to say about that.

The guy has been injured half his CFB/NFL career and he still has pretty legit numbers. Diggs is a super legit WR and didn't seem to have problems at Maryland

Tyler Taylor: AU LBs play with a different style

quote:

“His linebackers play with a different style than everyone else,” Taylor said. “They just run around and fly to the ball. They’re not the biggest guys but they play with the biggest heart of all the guys I’ve seen.”

Interesting we don't have a single DT projected to sign with us. Surprising even though this is a weak DT class.

Wouldn't we all?

What are the actual chances that happens? Slim & None, and Slim walked out last week.

IF, and I mean IF, we can keep staff capable of developing kids, and stay Top 10 recruiting, we will have a shot each year.

I prefer winning like that, than the bammer model. Signing the #1 kid, and trying not to screw them up. I don't want to be like them in any way.

Winning a Natty at AU, is 10x more satisfying that winning one at bama. FACT.

DL recruiting is a bit of a mystery right now. I suspect that we see a JUCO DT name pop up soon or some late bloomer at DT. KN seems to think Garner's got some stuff in the works, whatever that means....

And ya I think the weak DT class in the south is a big part of that. Garner usually grabs 1/2 top guys out of GA but there are only 2 DL in the top 20 players in GA this season. Aubrey Solomon who doesn't seem to have much interest in AU & Malik Herring who was a lock to UGA the minute Smart landed there

I think instate Alec Jackson is a name to watch possibly as well. I think our goal is to get Ryan Johnson, Isaiah Buggs & Markaviest Bryant. All are listed as DEs but Johnson or Buggs could shift inside as well ala Andrew Williams

3* WR Noah Igbinoghene is visiting this Saturday. If he gets AU offer I think he will commit. My guess is he is the backup to Ruggs if we don't think we can get him due to their similar sizes & skillsets but that is a complete guess on my part

Octavius Matthews article

I love the way this kid runs. Not sure exactly how he will get snaps on this offense next season but I like how he runs north & south without too much dancing. I think he can do very well in our offense if he can get any touches away from KJ or Bubba

We should sign at least 1 DT every year. That said, we have quite a few young DTs plus rumored future hybrids/converts to DT going forward

Current DTs
SO- Andrew Williams
SO- Dontavius Russell
FR- Derrick Brown
FR- Antwuan Jackson
*(injured) FR- Jauntavius Johnson

Future DE/DT hybrids/conversions
SO- Byron Cowart (6'3 276)
FR- Marlon Davidson (6'3 273)

I think a recruiting analyst said we may be looking at him similarly to something between Corey Grant and Eli Stove. Said he can play WR and has those type of skills if needed

We may want/like Stove more in a receiver role than what he is doing now.
