Can't stand when that a-hole does slideshows. Just list it in one god damn article.

slideshows are just awful. At least give me the option to view it all on one page.

Looks like Devan Barret had 32 carries for 325. One of those carries was a 98 yard TD

I always get nervous watching these HS RBs who always tend to run backward whenever they get stopped going one direction. It's such a bad habbit. Hopefully he can learn pretty quickly that won't work at the next level.

If Gus has done one thing absolutely right it's that he has identified great RBs in each class.

It's maybe the only position that I don't pay attention to in recruiting now

Wouldn't worry about Bama when it comes to Britt. UGA was the team he almost committed too. I think the article was trying to say his parents have accepted being AU fans for their son

I'd always thought this was the case (w/ UGA) but i talked to someone who is a family friend of Britt's and he was never going out of state. Completely not what I'd thought..

Oh I agree. Not concerned about the position, I just hate seeing guys run backward on film.

Well in those articles above he is quoted as saying he was going to commit to UGA on August 6th before the car accident

Either way worked out for us in the end

This is from Oregon's super homer 247 writer Justin Hopkins
quote:

Tre' McKitty - Easily Oregon's 'weakest commit' of this class right now. The visit went well and McKitty was reminded why he picked Oregon in the first place. He's still planning on enrolling early so his decision timeline is getting tight. But mom and dad seem to be pulling the distance card which has ultimately been Oregon's kryptonite in the past.

So I think writing is on the wall for sure that McKitty is going to flip. Question is to where? Some AU recruits seem to think it will AU according to KN but then again they thought that the first time as well. I still think we need to do more with the TE before he flips. He's an EE so this will all go down in the next 2 months

It's sad that due to our lack of use of the TE that it's hard to get excited about a TE prospect, whether he's good or bad.

I feel the same. I know we have to have one you you almost rather take an extra OT instead of TE

McKitty seems to have almost a big WR game rather than a "TE" game

We were successful with a possession WR in 2014 with Duke. No reason we can't repurpose McKitty into something similar inside.

Also, the HBack position can be played by a TE. Aaron Hernandez did it at UF

KN has another article on Ashley. The gist of it is Ashley is saying that he is 100% committed to AU but Maryland is a real threat. I found this real interesting
quote:

Ashley has visited Maryland, which isn’t far away from his new home, multiple times since August. Because of that, confidence from the Terps is said to be growing.

Adding to the intrigue is this: One of Maryland’s most well-known athletic supporters, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, graduated from St. John’s College. The two were photographed together at a Terps game this season.

They going all out for sure. His whole family is up in that area as well. Still he talks to our staff a bunch & is in communication with all our commits & is actively recruiting other guys. I think if we keep winning on the field we will be ok but a late collapse could be the fuel Maryland needs imo. He won't be making it for a game & won't be taking an official visit till January. Good news is the Maryland one will be before ours so we can be his last official before NSD

He removed all AU from his Twitter after our rough start but it's all back this week. Oh modern day recruiting

Good insight into Joey Gatewood's recruitment

Some parts that stuck out

quote:

When Gatewood describes his bond with Lashlee, he has trouble doing it. It’s more of a friendship than a player-coach situation, Gatewood said. He doesn’t feel pressured or anxious, like he might around other big-time offensive coordinators or head coaches. When the two talk, it’s almost zero football.

As indescribable as it may be, it might be the biggest reason why Gatewood shocked the world — including some of his Bartram Trail (Fla.) coaches — by selecting Auburn on Dec. 5 instead of Florida State.

“I don’t know how to explain it. It’s unique. I really, really don’t know. I just bond with him like I don’t bond with other people,” Gatewood said. “He’s just a really great guy.”

The duo talks nearly on a daily basis.

quote:

He’ll get more quarterback work next season when it’s a two-man job, but that will come against Riley Smith, who projects as an underrated passing talent. Bartram Trail is loaded with prospects, and of all the coaches who have come through, only one has said he thinks Gatewood is better strictly as a quarterback than Smith.

Which coach, you ask? Rhett Lashlee.

“College coaches that come here, they understand. We’ve got 3 D-I guys, so we have to rotate them. But we want to get Joey the ball as much as we can,” Batram Trail recruiting coordinator Chad Parker said. “Coach Lashlee, he was giving us a hard time because he said, ‘You know the best way to get him the ball? You snap it to him every play.'”

I told you guys, they love to rotate multiple QBs. Been doing it since I moved here. I was at Bartram's playoff game last year. They looked like Gus against Clempson. They could've won that game easily by just leaving Gatewood in the game, but they would pull him in the middle of drives.

First Maryland CB rolls in for Ashley.

I always thought we'd have to fight to keep but not against freaking Maryland.
