It appears Jarrett Stidham will not be visiting this weekend. Apparently wants to make a trip later in the fall when his GF can visit as well. Aggie creeper Taylor Hamm seems to think the Aggies are in the driver's seat which is interesting because a week ago its seemed like AU

Interesting news 5* OT Alex Leatherwood is visiting this weekend. He is committed to Bama & seems pretty firm. He is good friends with Nick Brahms & visited this summer for the picnic/cookout/Pokemon Go party. Wouldn't get your hopes up on flipping but always good to get the big names on campus

Hamm = No F-in clue.

he may go to aTm, but who knows right now, all speculation.

We may not need his services, but I still want to hire a Briles, just because!!

F-em ALL!!

It sounds like Hamm talks to Stidham's family every week & every week Hamm has a different story to tell. I think as of now it really is 50/50 for Stidham. I actually wonder if White becoming the guy hurts us with Stidham. White is only a redshirt sophomore so he would have to beat an incumbent while in Aggieland he would be entering a wide open QB competition

No idea just food for thought. I still think there is a high chance some success hungry AD hires Briles & it won't matter anyway

KN has early list up on visitors for this weekend

quote:

-5-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood, Pensacola (Fla.) Washington -- Alabama commit

-4-star buck linebacker Markaviest Bryant, Crisp County (Ga.)

-4-star defensive end Ryan Johnson, Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's Episcopal

-4-star cornerback Deangelo Gibbs, Grayson (Ga.)

-4-star offensive guard Nick Brahms, Navarre (Fla.) -- Auburn commit

-4-star linebacker Tadarian Moultry, Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson-Olin -- Auburn commit

-4-star 2018 receiver Justyn Ross, Phenix City (Ala.) Central

-4-star 2018 linebacker Quay Walker, Crisp County (Ga.)

-4-star 2019 linebacker Owen Pappoe, Grayson (Ga.)

-3-star safety Carlito Gonzalez, Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson -- Auburn commit

-3-star safety Jordyn Peters, Muscle Shoals (Ala.) -- Auburn commit

-3-star cornerback Shawn Shamburger, Moultrie (Ga.) -- Colquitt County

-3-star linebacker Chandler Wooten, Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb -- Auburn commit

-3-star 2018 cornerback Chris Smith, Hapeville Charter (Ga.)

-2018 receiver Shedrick Jackson, Hoover (Ala.)

-2018 linebacker Nathaniel Watson, Maplesville (Ala.)

Would be interesting that Gibbs visits twice in 3 weeks. KN also says Nathaniel Watson is a guy that could pull the trigger as well

KN with recruiting update & a lot of info on our TE recruiting. We want 2 this cycle after news that Landon Rice no longer with team. Here's the 2 he mentioned

1.) 3* Tre McKitty - AU still recruiting & will get an official but lack of TE use not helping with him
2.) 3* Kurt Rafdal - Battle between us and instate Indiana. Their head coach has made him a top priority but he really likes AU as well
3.) 3* Adam Boselli - Son of NFL legend Tony Boselli doesn't have AU offer but has emerged as a major target. Coaches are going to see him play in October & if they like what they see will offer. As of now USF is trending but we become major factor if we offer

Some other nuggets

- We aren't using any of our 42 visits again this weekend to scout prospects. KN thinks we hit trail hard next 2 weeks

- Currently running 3rd for 4* WR Jeremiah Holloman behind UGA & Tennessee. He is an early enrollee that does plan to officially visit AU at some point this fall

- AU still feels good about 5* Calvin Ashley but KN unsure who the team that might be threatening is but doesn't think it's Maryland

- 4* Deangelo Gibbs will get the royal treatment this weekend as he has always been a top target. UGA is considered favorite as of right now

- Sounds like 4* S Xavier McKinney is a pipe dream right now. Ohio State/Clemson battle as of now

- 4* DE Ryan Johnson plans to stay the night this weekend. AU is considered his leader right now with Bama & Stanford the 2 other teams to watch

- Apparently our passing game really impressed 4* WR Henry Ruggs. He's a take & will officially visit at some point

- It sounded like 3* JUCO OT D'Marcus Hayes was going to commit week after Clemson but no news. KN not sure why but could be we are holding off on taking his commitment for now but that's not confirmed. He is expected back for LSU

- Jarrett Stidham not visiting this weekend. Will be back later this fall with GF. Both AU & A&M feel good about him at the moment

I suspect that he takes a consultant job for a year minimum.

Can you imagine how much money you would be sued for if something happens?

Of course, my opinion is influenced by my vested interest in AU hiring him as a Temp.

What is the point of getting more tight ends? In the last two season and this one, tight ends have caught 13 passes total and that was Uzamah catching 11 two years ago. Not sure why we are worried about bringing in tight ends at this point and not sure why one would want to come here.

Great. Joey Gatewood decommited. I don't blame him one bit. I wouldn't play for gus as a qb.

Here's what KN said

quote:

I think how much AU works to keep him on board will play a big factor in whether he sticks with the Tigers. Also, he has some academic work to do.

I saw something on Auburn Rivals. Looked to be a prewritten article. It was dated 9/18/16.

Austin Troxell tore his ACL again... same knee as last year. Seems like we've had the shittiest luck with OL recruits and injuries. This kid is gonna have a huge hill to climb if he's ever gonna contribute.

I saw that and we need immediate contributors on the OL. I hope he can get there.

Troxell nor Calvin Ashley would start at OT next season. I think we'll see Golson and Prince Tega at the tackles next year unless Darius James' light comes on. In that case I think James would play RT, Golson would head back to C and Tega would slide to LT.

KK - You really think Prince will be ready to take over a tackle spot next year? I realize we don't have that many options, but with the coaches looking for a JUCO Tackle it makes me think he's still a year away. I am crazy excited for Princes future, the guy just looks like a All-American LT.
