why would anyone downvote this?
I would normally suspect Bams did it but given we may potentially bend Florida over on NSD my guess is it was 2 of their lurkers.

Per sources to Keith

-AU is not a slam dunk to get Irvin even if he visits
-Torn between AU & Texas
-it's 50/50 going into tomorrow's OV
-Irvin knows more people in and around Texas including uncle Michael Irvin in Dallas
-"The Playmaker" has told TI he could visit any time and would be there to support him
-Comfortable with Strong
-TI only knows Boom and T-Rob at AU
-T-Rob is the only reason TI is looking at AU
-TI's best recruiter relationship is with T-Rob
-They've known each other 4 years now
-TI is concerned that if Boom is a home run at AU he will take another HC job somewhere soon and take T-Rob with him
-AU has to blow TI away to get him
-Must click w/ Gus, commits, and feel at home
- Can't just be the T-Rob show
-Strong never threatened to drop TI if he visited AU, just uncommit him whatever that means

Last one means Irvin called Strong's bluff and has since back tracked on his threat.

247 notes:
-Is Prince Tega a take? Unknown at this time. AU still has to make sure his transcripts are in order and get to know him better. There is strong mutual interest from both sides though.
-Lashlee had to reschedule his visit with Fancois because he wasn't in school today which screwed up the logistics of a visit. Instead he went to see Ray-Ray McCloud, a Clemson commit. McCloud is rated as a RB but Auburn sees him as a Slot guy. He is considering a OV
-Auburn by rule can sign up to 30. They only plan to sign 27-28 right now. That number could change

Added an Updates portion to OP.

I really hope we use that SI top 25 games of the year to sell these players today. out of ALL the games played in the country we have three in the top 25. It may be frustrating but we play some pretty frikkin exciting football. If you want to get noticed AU is def the place to be. Didn't our bowl get better tv ratings than any other before it? People love to watch (G)us.

FWIW this part is incorrect. The reporters are always forgetting transfers on scholly before the first 2 years at a new school have to count to a 25 limit the past 4-5 years and signed NLIs for the last 3-4 years count against a 25 limit even if they don not enroll. BMat is the only one who back tracked his statement and got it right last year.. The correct number going into this year was 29. We signed 24 in 2014 but 3 counted to the 2013 class, leaving 4 spots for this class. Then Trey and Golson came in, now both on scholly thus making the working max number for this class at 27.

You should do a post giving a detailed explanation of how the numbers are determined. Everytime I think I understand it, I realize I dont.

I think all things involved are in my last post. What questions do you have or what do you need clarity on?

Not E but here you go.

So you have 85 on the roster and a league rule of 25 per signing period. However, when you have some back slots to fill from the previous year you can add another 10-14. But only if the first 3 are 5 stars and the second three are 4 stars. Should you have a need to add 4-5 5 stars then you can only backfill 7 spots. Now here's where it gets a little confusing. If you want to add 28 players in the current recruiting year you must add at least 4 5 stars with 5 4 stars that are close to being 5 stars. The thing you don't want to see happen is only getting 22 signees with 1 5 star, 4 4 stars, and 17 3 stars then you have all kind of explaining to do.

Hope that helped and WDE

Only if you're Bama would have been simpler
