In the hunt for 3 of the top 10 for 2016:

3. DT Julian Rochester
Auburn is an early favorite. Might visit for A-Day this weekend.

4. OLB Keion Joyner
LSU early favorite. Very interested in AU though.

6. OT Ben Cleveland
UGA early favorite but AU in the thick of things

so I somehow caught a glimpse of the top 50 of the top 247 for 2016.

They've already released the top 10, but there are a lot of AU leans or top 2-3 guys in the top 50 for 2016!!

Jawon Pass was somewhere around #15 IIRC.
We are in on 3 of the top 6 5*s for 2016

Julian Rochester #3 overall & #1 DT. May make his 4th trip to AU for A Day Highlights

Keion Joyner #4 overall and #1 OLB. AU is 2nd behind LSU. Highlights

Ben Cleveland #6 overall & #2 OT. Liked his recent AU visit a lot. Highlights

ETA: Did not intend to 1 up you 25. I was working on my post before you posted.

Now that 2016 kids are rated I know how big this is.

ICYMI: Big-time 2016 New Jersey RB Kareem Walker @_KareemWalker previews upcoming visit to #Auburn: ‘I can’t wait' https://auburn.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1631999 …
5* and #2 RB in 2016 class Profile Highlights

Quotes from AUR article
quote:

I can't wait," Walker told AuburnSports.com. "I want see everything, and I want to watch the offense and how they execute on Saturday. I want to see certain plays they run. I think the crowd is going to be crazy and I can't wait."

"I talk to Coach Horton like every other day for the last three weeks," said Walker. "We stay in touch. We talk about things beyond football, becoming a man -- talking about picking a college based on making me a better person, not just football. He's helping me out."

Walker had intentions to visit Auburn in the future, but the urgency to visit this weekend can be credited to a conversation Walker had with a fellow 2016 prospect from New Jersey. Quarterback Jarrett Guarantano visited Auburn earlier this month and when he returned home, he texted Walker.

(On 4^ #3 2016 QB Jarrett Guarantano's impact on getting Walker to visit AU 2 or 3 months earlier than planned )"He texted me and told me how great Auburn was," Walker said. "He told me he really liked it and everything was fun."

"I want to see how things are, I think I'll be impressed," said Walker. "It's real important. I can't go there whenever I want, I have to cherish the moment. I have to look at the little things and talk to people about the school. It's an important deal. It's really a big deal.

"I want to meet Tre Mason, but I don't know if he'll be down there. I want to get my picture taken with him and the quarterback - Nick Marshall.

Looks like we'll have a long list of QBs in the top 247 to pick from next year.

Just looked up Malik Miller in the new 2016 rankings and I think he is initially lower than some expected. 152 overall and listed as a FB with 12 RBs rated higher than him.

I think it has to do with him backing up Kerryon and not being the feature back.

As a former Indian (McEachern) I went to one of their games last year and happened to sit by Julian Rochester's dad. I started laying the groundwork. Don't worry boys I'll be back over the next couple of falls to finish the job.

AU lock.

Malik may back up Kerryon but he does a lot of work. 1,674 rush yards to KJ's 1,017 in the 2013 season.
