Is it not a foregone conclusion at this point that we would take all 3 RBs?

No. The staff had not even decided to take a 2nd RB until January. If we get Jovon then it's going to take Kam Pettway not qualifying or Horton to give one heck of a persuasive argument to Gus to get him to take Swinney in this class.

It isn't set in stone by any means. I believe events will transpire this weekend that should give us a better idea. Horton would certainly take all 3, he would have to do a good sales job though.

Seems like the offense have evolved past the OMac role. Not used much last season, not really going after a speed back this class or last. Am I wrong?

Or we'll just be using WRs to fill that role. Isn't that what Truitt is supposed to do?

More or less. There really isnt much of a use to have a guy that is only fast when you can have a guy who is half a step slower but has good hands.

I wouldn't say it's past that role, but it may be used a little less now. Grant still got his sweeps last year.

I think we might see some smaller, speey WR's start to get those in the future - i.e. Truitt. I think using a WR in that role keeps the defense on their toes a little more. With the RB out there, he's not going to be able to run routes like a WR would, or at least not as well, but with a WR, you can always change the play and send them out on a route out of that same formation. A guy like Truitt gives you a little more flexibility there.

I honestly don't know CB. This offense is predicated on both being able to physically beat the poop out of teams and have players good in space even if top end speed is not elite. Truitt has great speed and good in space. Roc is great in space while being a touch slower. Both should do well to compliment the physicality of our O.

I can't wait to see Truitt. I am really glad he graduated early and got to go through spring.

Grant could of used about 20 more carries last year IMO. I think at one point he was averaging 8 or 9 yards a carry. I'm definitley not complaining because Mason left and Mason right was obviously working but Grant chewed up yardage in big chunks.

Per AUC Swinney's timeline for a decision is now the end of his Spring practices heading into Summer. That's roughly the same timeframe Jovon said in his only recent interview with AUR.

so I somehow caught a glimpse of the top 50 of the top 247 for 2016.

They've already released the top 10, but there are a lot of AU leans or top 2-3 guys in the top 50 for 2016!!

Jawon Pass was somewhere around #15 IIRC.
