Does anybody know how many we plan to take in this class and who else we are targeting?

I count either 3 or 4 seniors graduating. Bowers, Granger, Harris and I can't remember if Waddell was put on scholarship or not. Do we expect any attrition?

With good play this season do we have any shot of convincing Langford to take another look?
He commited in the summer so I'm hoping by January he'll realize Michigan isn't the place to be in the winter.
He wants to be on a good team and Pearl is bringing in good players. As good as the '15 and '16 classes are for AU standards, '17 should be the best yet. Maybe Wiley and now Heron can get in Langford's ear.

We have chuck to thank for Heron, his dad said he is the only coach that had a written out plan for making his son better and that he really likes having him looking over his son

Chuck is turning out to be quite the stud assistant CBP needs. Given his success in the NBA with the Lakers, we knew the coaching IQ was there, but it looks like he's doing well to recuit too.

Pearl might be the face and voice of the program, but Chuck puts in just as much work recruiting

Alabama is loaded in 2017 and I hope Bruce and Chuck leave nothing for Avery and Bama.
Top 5 in Alabama for '17 is sick.

We got two top 15 players:
-Austin Wiley, 5* PF from Spain Park and the biggest lock AU basketball has had in a recruit I know of.
-John Petty, 5* SF from Huntsville. Crystal balled to Kentucky.

We got 3 top 100 PFs in state. (Including one from Auburn HS)
-Wiley
-Alex Reese from Pelham. 4* PF top 40 player. Crystal balled to Vandy, I'd think we could recruit against them.
-Garrison Brooks, 4* PF. From Auburn HS, but crystal balled to Miss St. Maybe he's scared of Wiley, but I think Wiley grows into a C and I'd hope that unlike football Bruce and Chuck could get a guy out of Auburn HS if they want him.

#5 guy in the state is Wiley's teammate at Spain Park
-Jamal Johnson, 4* CG. 6'4". Crystal balls are 2/3 for AU and 1/3 for Bama. If we want him he's a lock with Wiley in his ear.

He is Buck Johnson's son. Going to be tough to keep him from following his dad.

Didn't know that. Just looked at the his 247 and saw AU with a 2:1 lead in crystal balls despite it appearing Bama is recruiting him harder.

Bama legacy will be a tough pull no doubt, but the smart move right now would be to follow Wiley to AU. Pearl is clearly building something special in Auburn. Meanwhile the situation in Tuscaloosa that Avery Johnson is walking into is just as bad as the one that Barbee left Pearl at AU, and Avery hasn't shown much in terms of recruiting to fix that.

Now that the Avery hype has cooled in the past months, it doesn't seem like he's building much momentum in terms of recruiting. He's maybe talking to big names, but not landing any of them.

Ahhhhhh... remember the good ol' days, when the usual suspects were sure that the Person hire was a GOB Special?

@HooksAPR: People need to know that Heron is a complete program changer. Above all others so far. This kid has it all and will impact day one. The one!

@HooksAPR: Furthermore his skill set and disruptive nature for a guard is unheard of at AU. Also his grades are awesome for our APR. Such a big day.

@HooksAPR: Another great things is Heron might need 2+ years to be ready for being a lottery pick. Works even more in AU favor.+Get ready for 17s class

I think some people (myself included) were concerned that he had no recruiting/AAU background, or any college coaching experience. it also seemed like the PTB pushed to have person on Pearl's staff, and that's always a gamble.

With all that said, person has been awesome... both on the court and on the trail. We're fortunate to have him

Barkley is the most famous auburn bball player... but chuck person may be the best thing to ever happen to the program, when you combine what he was as a player and now as an assistant.

@GiveNGobball: Austin Wiley, a class of 2017 PF from Spain Park (AL), will go on an unofficial visit to Auburn next weekend.
