Where did you stay?
Hotel Indigo in Vinings. Very nice hotel, would recommend.
Took us about 30 minutes to get back to the hotel when the night before it was a 5 minute drive. And that was with the shuttle driver driving like a madman.

quote:Went for the first time yesterday and getting in/out was a breeze. We parked in Lot 42 (near the Windy Hill Marriot). It was maybe a 15 minute walk up Interstate North Parkway, across Windward Parkway and we were right at the 3rd base gate. Longest thing was actually getting in the stadium, as the gates had just opened and going through security took a little while (maybe 15 - 20 minutes).
I have heard it's a fricking nightmare getting in & out for a game
After the game was over, we were out of the stadium in 5 minutes, back to the car in 10, and out of the lot and back on 285 east in another 10 minutes. So much easier and quicker than getting in and out of parking at Turner.
I really liked the park. We were in section 137, third base side. Good sightlines. It reminds me a lot of Camden Yards. It looks like all 4 decks will put you as close to the field as possible. I really like the fact that the 200 level seats are a level and not just an extension of the 100 level.
The food choices are amazing, and it all smelled really good. I think it helped that the breeze was blowing into our face for a bit and so we could smell Fox Bros and H&F Burgers from the outfield. Ballpark prices, but still not as bad as I was expecting. 2 hamburger baskets (2 patties, with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and fries) 2 souvenir Cokes and two bottles of water set us back $40. Really looking forward to Mercedes Benz and hopefully more affordable food.
We are going back in August to see the Marlins, and I would love to try to go another time or two, maybe try sitting in different areas to check out the views.

The best part of the park, IMHO, is the intimate feeling it gives as well as the views. Our season ticket are in the 400 section, 3rd row, and they are fantastic.
It's not flashy or trendy, but it's a great place to watch a ballgame.

Did you get the full season package or partial season?

Word of warning...if you see a sign for garlic fries with an enticing photo of tasty fries with bits of garlic on them. DO NOT ORDER IT
It's actually just fries with some sort of gross garlic sauce squeezed all over it. It's horrible.

We went Sunday too. Parked in lot 29 and had no trouble getting in and out. Sat in left field in section 145 under the awning. Much nicer than the Ted imo.

Love the field. Dislike having to walk 1+ mile after you get off Marta.

Are you getting off the bus at Akers Mill or Cumberland Hub?

Went to my first game and sat in the Suntrust Club, so yeah, it was awesome. Looking forward to going more.
