It looks very nice. Watched a video tour of it seems really good. Heard is was in a better location for fans to get to as well.

What are your thoughts about it?

I can't wait to go to a game this summer. Seeing the Braves and Atlanta United is going to be great

That football stadium is very cool as well. Pretty incredible how it converts for soccer as well. It's the first football stadium like that that was designed from the beginning with soccer in mind. You all should be getting some World cup games and USMNT ma5ches.

Wish things would have turned out differently for us here in st louis. We had a dual purpose stadium ready to go but the Rams chose to leave. We should still be getting an MLS soccer stadium even though the public financing vote failed. There is a private investor stepping up to fill the void. Wish our city was as forward thinking as Atlanta.

No doubt. It is automatically one of the very top venues for that level of soccer in the country now.

Congrats. Im jealous for sure.

It's a solid park. The Battery is fantastic. They did well.

Busch III, while nice overall, lacks the bang that a lot of the newer MLB parks have been bringing to the table.

You all have a brand new football/soccer stadium and a brand new baseball park.

That's pretty cool.

The Battery apparently won't play Atlanta United games on the big screen

I know they show the game going on inside the stadium during the game (And probably hafta show pre and post game Fox Sports per a contract), but anything other than that is just corporate petty crap.

And not surprising at all.

That is like ballpark village here in st louis. That has been one of the things that they did right when they built our new park here.

Why wont they show your soccer teams games there?

ETA: nevermind, answered.

Really wanted to catch a United game at MBS this year, but probably have to wait until next year now.

Lost in all this is that Philips is basically being completely redone too, so all 4 teams will have brand new arenas/stadiums within a year.

Yea they took a lot from there. It's supposedly a bigger version of that with apartments/condos as well.

A few of the same bar concepts (Live! for one).

Nice. You all should enjoy that. Its been, by far, the best part of the new Busch stadium IMO.

I will have to make it a point to catch a game there in Atlanta in the future it seems.

You must be joking. OTP sure. ITP, not so much. If Atlanta is ever going to become a really modern city, they need to invest in building more light rail/subway development. You really want folks to drop the cash at the new stadium? Don't make them waste fricktons of money on gas and parking.

I live in Brookhaven next to Oglethorpe. Driving to STP is much easier than driving or my usual MARTA to Braves Shuttle route from before.

Turner Field was only slightly closer to my old North Decatur digs than STP is.

I wish it was in the city and very much wish we'd get transit at the Galleria (for games and work), but it's literally 2000 yards OTP and 1 mile from the City of Atlanta. It isn't in Kennesaw.

Yes but how much do you think you're averaging in parking and gas expenses?

My point is that the city needs to modernize, that includes investing in public transport, and that public transport should obviously include transit to the new ball park.

Humor me for a moment, what is your route to STP from Brookhaven?

Oh yea, 100%. We're slowly but surely getting there, though. The new City SPLOST will start building the new line and beltline stuff soon and I have no doubt within 5 years Cobb and Gwinnett will be in MARTA (or some state run alternative).

Its getting there. Slow, but we're grinding.
