Kiffin is a homerun or doesn't work in which he will get the blame....not the program.

Even if Kiffin fails, he'll bring in talent - we'll be better off regardless. Can't say the same for many popular candidates.

And if Leach doesn't work out you are left with an Air Raid Offense full of WRs but lacking running backs and TEs.

He has been there. Tenner, USC, Bammy.

I gotta hand to you, Rev. You have the ability to research and think out of the box with good football knowledge.

However, the hiring of Lane Kiffen (IMO) will be a tragic mistake for U of A football.

Why? He left 'Tenner' after only 14 months. I know there is a reason he walked home after his auto accident versus staying near waiting for towing assistance.

Why? He was fired at LAX who denied him a ride back to campus on bus with his bags. Not a class act for USC but he was not such a class act either coaching the Trojans. IMO

Why? His recruiting tactics are questionable in a court of law. Where the case was dismissed BUT not on grounds the charges were untrue. To lure a 4 star athlete he promised the staris good and close friend a job he renigged on after the signing and persuasion of the Plaintiff. Supposedly because the Plaintiff had 2 misdemeanor infractions to his record Kiffen did not know about. In short, not a man of his word.

Why? There is much more to this young coach's ambitions and limitations than meets the eye. He is best to be an assistant and not a leader in my opinion.

Sorry to say but I know well Lane's type of personality. (I believe to apologize if wrong) but he is suspected with a major flaw I had for many years with alcohol. He must be vetted extensively in that aspect.

He didn't leave Tennessee in disgrace, he told Tenn. to go frick itself as he took a better job lol.

I'm guessing that everything else in your spiel is at least as much bullshite as the statement that Kiffin left "in disgrace"

I guess I could and should omit that harsh statement. However, he knew and TN folk knew, as I know he did not walk home after wrecking his automobile to save money on a cab ride. Hello?

there are some part truths in that.. But he hasn't used a HS player with a drug problem to win at all cost, been a part of paying a preachers son to win at all cost, and lied, deceived, etal
Like GUS!

If we are accepting of the one, let us also accept the other. Afterall, from what I read from you yesterday... You don't believe that a Coach needs to be a Christian to be a Great Coach "The Bear Bryant Analogy"

Let us at least be unbiased in our acceptance of immorality. OK

Just messen with ya. I don't have a problem with Kiffen because he would definitely win in time. I don't have a problem with Campbell, or Norvell, and anyone who uses tenner as an example needs to only look at what has happened today concerning their fans, and their program. They are the laughing stock of NCAA right now... and are winners at life as per Butch Jones

Tsk Tsk Rev., you know better. It's a good thing for you to insert PART OF and not author of.

As you recall, Cam Newton and ? Dryer (LR Central) were players for Gene Chizik (sp) NOT Gus.

Granted Gus granted Dryer great favors for his shortfalls. This young man was an attempt to salvage his lost soul from a childhood of synthetic drugs his prostitute mother taught him to mfg. He easily aligned himself with thugs like that of his deprived youth in LR. You know the story of guns, speeding arrest, and such. Gus whom I admire for his interest in this superb athlete's soul and citizenship tried his best to help in various avenues.

As for Cam, we both know as the sports nation know Auburn was not found in fault of an extensive investigation that stemmed from his father's request to MSU of 6 figures payment. Auburn got him under Gene Chicaik and NOT Gus. Even at that Gene was not found guilty of that heavily and extensively investigated but HIGHLY speculated as perhaps you've done.

I do not know Gus. I understand from another board of your postings that you do. So, I concede you knowing much more of him of dislike than I. However, the portion you've alleged is not exactly accurate ya know.

Gus may well be a spiritual hypocrite and certainly a great distaste to a 'man in cloth' but to task he is assigned has no measure for the soul or it's destiny. Get my drift?

You're a good man in love with the Hogs. I am too. BUT, we differ in the analogy of what it takes to make he U Of A football competitive in the SEC.

My point being... Lane is no different than Gus at the core. Do you follow Kiffen's twitter? He isn't as bad as some choose to believe, most likely neither is GM...

Peace!

I don't see what everyone else does in this guy. It seems like he'd be here five years at most, even if he was doing well. He went 10–2 one year at USC, and he's 9–3 right now at FAU. Every other year as a coach he's sucked or been mediocre.

I get a very Will Muschamp feeling about him.

Can you imagine the look on Kiffin's face at the press conference when they make him call the hogs?

He'd be way too cool for that.
