Voting for Tuesday's primary election has been relocated to Friendship Baptist Church. #Appomattox
Telling people that if they don't have ID to call the Registrar's office.
Guess big money is trying to suppress voter turnout.

The state of Virginia requires voters to provide ID prior to voting in-person.

Voters don't need any kind of ID to vote. Poll workers are required to ask for it, but voters don't have to show it.

That's stupid.

Really? No ID needed to vote? I am of the belief that you should be eligible to vote first of all and that the polling stations should verify that you are who you say you are.
This isn't a local raffle these folks are signing up for.

I hate to break it to you, but voter turnout won't change either race in Virginia. Looks like you're witch hunting in the wrong state.

I'm assuming he didn't realize that tweet was about Virginia where Tyson is helping out with tornado relief currently. I could be wrong though.

Yep

State law says you don't

Not their job
Anyone should be able to cast a vote regardless of their credentials/id.
Guess you think all persons should have ID on them at all times? Maybe the gov't should just microchip all citizens. With your line of thinking, I would have to send in a copy of my ID, if I mail in an absentee ballot, what if I use a fake pic, then maybe the good ol guvment would require SS#, fake that, then what?

Nope, the people can still vote without an ID in Virginia on that day.

It should be.

No, they should have it the one day they go to vote though.

No, that's stupid.
With your line of thinking there would be rampant fraud in our voting system. Oh wait, there already is.

when in public, why not?
of all things you should have to show id for voting is at the top, imo.
as i type this i wonder why i even bother with you.

This massive rampant voter fraud...
What evidence do you have? I mean seriously, how many cases of in person voter fraud have there been relative to the number of votes cast say in the past 10 years.

So the citizens of Virginia are stupid, with that much said, guess Arkansans are stupid, have similar voting laws.

It should be.
So these same stupid people, should still volunteer and enforce your version of Voter ID laws. Makes sense
quote:
No, they should have it the one day they go to vote though.
But if they are stupid, how can you mandate it for them to carry on that one day. Will stupid people even remember what day that is supposed to be? What about the other days that elections are held?

No, that's stupid.
I agree

System is in place, especially in Virginia to combat that.
Maybe stupid people shouldn't vote or even have ID's.

why?
So the military men and women serving overseas, shouldn't be able to cast a vote, unless they provide ID?

cause you can't stop

i'm gonna say it was over 40 years ago my parents made it to the state news b/c they were out of town during the election yet 'they' voted- conway county politics at it's finest. i'm not THAT old so i don't even remember it but i've heard the tales. it was a huge deal at the time. voter fraud is as old as voting is.
exactly why would it be such a hardship to show an id?
