Good lord. Entitled much?

Maybe we should hire Chris Beard. His 7-11 conference record is fire.

Kentucky hasn't been to the final four in a decade and hasnt sniffed the Sweet Sixteen since 2019 but by gosh were uppity Arkansas and oughta be stacking chips every year.

Chris Beard just finished a better season in year 1 at a historical doormat than Muss at the 2nd most prestigious program in the conference in year 5.

Beard has also played for a national championship.

I'm not sure comparing seasons with Beard is the strategy you want to go with in this debate.

That is fine but Arkansas needs to end this Final Four drought.

3 years ago we ended a sweet 16 drought

Won’t miss him. He’s only loved because of winning a few postseason games and most of that was luck.

This is why I lurk 98 percent of the time. Moronic statements like this.

And in 5 years Beard would likely do about the same as Muss and we’ll be trying to run him out of town. Its why we are Arkansas and we will always be looking for the better thing while always sucking.

Arkansas isn't paying Beard the money he'll demand

If I’m Beard, and I see you fired a guy who statistically had the same results I likely would have. Im wanting 12 mil a year guaranteed so when your dumbass fanbase runs me out I get paid.

Who said anything about firing him? The whole discussion is him leaving on his own.

Beard is a better coach than Muss.

He would have had a final four in five years.

That is an idiotic but Arkansas fan statement. Statistically the odds are he wouldn't have.

No one wants him fired. If he is gone then it will be on his own terms.

These last two years have shown some weaknesses in his coaching.

That is the issue.

This. Our standard is apparently higher than UK

Our fans are always so quick to blame a coach. Sometimes the players just suck. In a week half will be gone and we can forget all about this season

He took Tech to the title game in his third year.

Are you saying Beard couldn't do the same here?

Muss isn't getting fired

He's getting out ahead of the Posse since he's pissed off a bunch of the money folks.

It's what he does

And he was 18-13 and 18-11 the two years after. He caught lightening in a bottle and pulled an easy tournament draw one year and act like he is a god.

We’d want him fired by our standards.

Kermit Davis had a better record at Ole Miss his first year and didnt have the benefit of free transfers to build a team.

You’re living 5 years ago in a much different college landscape.

7-11 with less talent.

Arkansas was picked top three in the SEC.

What in the hell happened?

Cal won a title and was given plenty of slack when he had some lean years. That didn't stop the bitching but had he not won a title then he would been fired already.

Arkansas hasn't been to the final four in almost 30 years.

Muss has hit a brick wall of the elite 8.

Until he gets Arkansas over the hump then he isn't worthy of being in the same great coaches discussion with Nolan and Eddie.

Doesn't matter what draw he had in the tournament, he took Tech of all places to a title game.

He isn't a God but at only 51 years of age he has already done much more than Muss.

Muss sure as hell doesn't have God tier coaching as he has been outcoached many times these last two years against inferior talent. But fans still kiss his arse.

Even if Beard does have a few lean years, the final four appearance is worth the trouble going through a few mediocre seasons.

A final four appearance is much superior than many elite 8s. The pinnacle achievement of college basketball.
