The place doesn't exist anymore. Its a national chain. That's their thing. I've been there before, yes. I've also eaten at my friend's parents house. That doesn't "imply" anything except that I had dinner there once.

Keep it up.

Interesting...I notice a strong correlation on here between difficulty with reading comprehension, failure at logic, and delusions of grandeur.

I have no idea who you are, nor would I ever care to, but I know precisely what you are, and there is no doubt in my mind, nor anyone else's who reads even one of your posts, that you are an unmitigated moron, with a narcissistic personality disorder, bordering sociopathic, very possibly bipolar, and are indubitably in tremendous need of medication.

To dumb it down for you, you are an absolute idiot, complete tool, and are totally fricking nuts.

quote:

Well I do, because i'm smart.

Holy hell ... just no.

I hate to break it to you, "smart guy", but if you have to state it to try to convince others (and yourself) of it, it just isn't so. Much as truly wealthy people do not need or want to brag to others about their financial status, or show it off, truly smart people do not need to boast about their intellect to others; they don't have to. Their intelligence is easily perceptible. One does not get that perception from you ... at all. The impression one gets from you is quite the opposite, I assure you.

quote:

This is what smart people do, this is what we think about, and this is why we are successful.

Oh, I have no doubt you are, junior - so much so that you feel the need to broadcast your "success" to anonymous people on a message board instead of enjoying it with the hoards of great friends that you certainly must have. I'm sure that you must be awfully busy, though!! I am just so grateful that you find time to grace this board with your glorious presence and plethora of invaluable information!!
(Sarcasm, btw ... a shite ton of it. )
quote:

Keep stuffing your face with food though, it's good for your brain.

Well, thanks for your "blessing," junior, but I didn't ask for, nor do I need your permission. You are not my father/husband/brother/boyfriend/friend/doctor ... and ... oh yeah ... YOU DO NOT KNOW ME. But I will continue to dine, quite well, in arguably the best region in the country to do so, something you clearly have absolutely zero knowledge about, just one of the scores of subjects falling into the "zero knowledge" category for you, so it shouldn't bother you.

Speaking of brains, here's an fyi to fill some of the empty space in yours. Not just any food is considered to be "good for your brain." Fish is the food that predominantly and most effectively helps promote brain health, and more specifically, oily, deep (cold) water fish, such as salmon, cod, albacore tuna, mackerel, mahi-mahi, shark, halibut, flounder, swordfish, herring, bluefish, sturgeon, lake trout and a certain type of sea bass, all of which have an abundance of omega-3 essential fatty acids critical for brain function. Shellfish also contain a fair amount of omega-3 fatty acids.
Considering the region I reside is overflowing with seafood, including fish & shellfish abundant with these brain empowering omega-3s, and the fact that I get to "stuff my face" with this wonderfully healthy and incredibly delicious food, prepared in an infinite number of mouth watering ways (my favorite being cedar plank grilled salmon, lemon pepper encrusted pan seared yellowfin tuna - rare, blackened mahi, shrimp & oysters every way possible, but particularly Bienville & on the half shell) at least three times, weekly, year round, my brain is working great!! Not to mention, grilled fish & shellfish is much more heart healthy and much better for one's skin, eyesight, and waistline than any other meat, so it looks like (and according to my doctor), I'm good.
Maybe you should try adding a bit (or much) to your diet - fried catfish doesn't count.

quote:

You just went full bitch multi-paragraph post that took god knows how much of your free time, on a complete and utter lack of reading comprehension. I said fayetteville was horrible for restaurants, and then reiterated this point further emphasizing the relationship to the business climate. How did you miss that?

Nah, not even close to "full bitch." I assure you.

It took all of about 20 minutes to write my response to you, junior. Thirty minutes is the max amount of my "free time" that I will waste responding to inane comments. No doubt, it took much less time for me to type, proofread, edit, & post it than it took for you to read it. Apparently, "multi-paragraph posts" give you some trouble. Sorry I didn't include pictures, but I reserve my photoshopping on the board for making avatars & sig pics for posters who are not vile & deplorable pricks.

You are all kinds of ironic with that "lack of reading comprehension" statement. Your audacity & just plain stupidity are mind boggling. Evidently, you don't even know what the hell you posted, let alone what I did, and I damn sure know you didn't read past the first paragraph; apparently, your head would have exploded had you attempted it.

How did I miss that?!?!?!? EL-O-EL You cannot be serious. Unfortunately, I did not miss any of your ludicrous, senseless rantings & ravings. From now on, I definitely will miss them ... intentionally.
But how the hell did you miss that you threw a bitch fit in your post to me about a chain hamburger place opening in Fayetteville and baselessly ranting that it is the "shittiest restaurant city in the state"???
Or about your losing your shite over the high number of restaurant closings in Fayetteville (according to you), yet never giving a number, not even a "guesstimate"??? And you still haven't, "smart guy." Not that it matters, because any idiot knows the important issue is WHY a restaurant closes, but you're not just any idiot; you're a special kind, for sure.
Or how did you miss whining about raises in tuition at the UofA, a younger population increase, (whatever the frick that means) and hippies???? None of which have shite to do with Whataburger opening in Fayetteville, at least not in the context of your post.
Or how did you miss personally insulting this board's members??? People you've never met or laid eyes on?? At least not myself or the ones I know, and pretty positive you don't hang with most others, either.

As for this sentence ...

"I said Fayetteville was horrible for restaurants, and then reiterated this point further emphasizing the relationship to the business climate," ...

The only true part is the first half, but it's incomplete. You certainly posted your disdain for Fayetteville, but also for chain burger restaurants, tuition increases, hippies, and the "old & fat men & women on this board who do not represent Fayetteville and definitely not its taste in food."
And the meaningless second half of your statement is one of the most absurd things I have ever read.
What relationship?? Relationship between what two entities?
You neither posted about nor explained, emphasized nor reiterated any type of "relationship" in connection to anything, and you never mentioned a "business climate" at all. That sentence makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Shocking.

quote:

Tuition prices! Why do I care about tuition prices? You have passed the point of obsession, i'm apparently in your confused brain now.

... And just when I thought you couldn't be any more insane.

How the shite do I know why you care about tuition prices?!?!? You brought it up in your own damn post! And it's abundantly clear who the confused party is, no doubt. After reading only a few of your posts the past couple of days, I am past the point of revulsion. Congrats, you've made my "ignore forever" list.

Be sure to eat plenty of fish, junior. This is a multiple paragraph post as well. I wouldn't want your brain to completely melt down. You need as much of it in working order that you can get.

Thread is tl;dr, so I'll hazard a guess that someone tried to impersonate a one percenter and did some non-elitist elistist trolling and got pwned.

Getting back on track...

Couldn't agree more. My buddies and I used to make it a point to stop there when we'd go up to Hogs games during our high school days. I look forward to taking my son there heading back to the Delta to go duck hunting.

First of all, Missy's rant is epic. I wanted to say that when I lurked here. Secondly:

Thank you for this advice I didn't know. I never eat seafood unless I am going to visit home (NOLA).

I take flaxseed and fish oil pills which give the omega-3's as well

been taking the flax and fish oil for awhile now, but I also started taking Acetylcarnitine a couple weeks ago. It helps with cognitive thinking.

Probably not one of my proudest moments, but I'd kind of had enough of his crazy bullshite.

You're welcome.

I love New Orleans, and have spent a lot of time there over the years since I don't live too far from it. It's such a great city with amazing food & restaurants. It's definitely an inspiration & very exciting to people like me with a great interest in the culinary world.

I'm sure since you're used to eating seafood in New Orleans, other cities' seafood pales in comparison. Even when I've visited other coastal areas with fresh fish, it just wasn't as good - not nearly as unique or flavorful.

And yes, oily fish is extremely "brain healthy," but is very good for overall well being as well - grilled, broiled, baked, or boiled, of course, not so much fried, unfortunately.

Also, another fyi, walnuts are full of omega-3 fatty acids, as well, along with flaxseed. You can get supplements in pill form, like hawgfaninc said, but I like to actually eat them in food form more.
