Very hard to judge a coach before he gets here.
That LSU you speak of, is led by a coach who was a pesky 28-21 at Okie State.
Saban was only 34-24 before taking the LSU job.
Look at Dan Hawkins for example...he was 53-11 at Boise, then goes 19-39 at his next stop.

I hope so. How come no mentions of Gundy and Arkansas? They are stuck on him going to TN? I admit, I'm getting extremely nervous we'll be burned on both sides and have to scramble.

Gundy is an elite coach. anyone who knows jack shite about football cannot dispute this fact
this year, with his third string QB, he took his team to a NYD bowl. he is one of the best skill position coaches in the business anywhere. he's an elite evaluator of talent, he's a very good recruiter, and his offensive lines are some of the best lines you will see year in and year out in football.
he's done all this, recruiting to a conference that is not ours, and being 2nd fiddle in his own state.
he took our freaking castoffs, the DL we didn't recuit a efw years ago i think collins is his name, he's from arkansas and we didnt' offer, and he's in the 2 deep at OSU.
i believe if he comes here, with the talent i think that is being under coached on the o line, with what we have at the skill position players and i think this defense in 2-3 years will be the best that we have put on the field in the last 30 years.. i think we will make a legit run at a title in 2014.

I would be happy with Gundy. I think most knowledgable football people would consider him a HR for Arkansas. He was my number one option when we hired Petrino. The only reason I've cooled on him a little is all this hype about Petersen, Gruden and $6million a year has warped my expectations.
