I went back and watched their game with Ole Miss.

I'm extremely concerned with our OL facing that good of a defense.

Their offense is way better than I expected, but if we can contain their QB and limit the big running plays we can make it a game. He has a nice arm, but he makes some really bad throws too.

Turnovers must be capitalized on.

TOP is absolutely imperative for us to have any chance.

We have to muck this game up like we have the last couple of years.

With that said it's always hard to tell how our guys will match up with them opposed to how Ole Miss played them.

I scared

It is hard to see any clear cut advantages that Arkansas has against Bama. That being said, the game isn't played on paper and the crowd factor and playing against an inexperienced quarterback gives us a chance i think.

Blowout loss, still a chance to get 8 wins though.

It's about that time of year when I think we will get killed and start knocking ranked teams off.

Being totally objective here, I'd say we have positional advantages at QB and RB. TE might be a push but I'd lean Arkansas because Sprinkle has done way more in his college career than Howard or Hentges. Advantage Bama when it comes to WR because of the playmaking abilities of Ridley and Foster. Definite advantage Bama on be OL.

Defense is all Bama.

Not drinking the Koolaid.
There is no reason we SHOULD beat them.
Name any position and they are as good as and probably better than we are, maybe with the exception of QB. And certainly deeper.
Even their coaching staff is better overall.

We will score a few points, but not near enough.

It would obviously be a big upset. That being said, we have played them really tough the last 2 years and if we can play for good field position and not give up any big special teams plays, there isn't any reason we shouldn't have a chance to win in the 4th. Any turnovers or special teams mistakes and we will get beaten badly.

It's been said in a different thread, but we cannot shite the bed for a quarter and expect to have any chance in this game. We've got to string together 4 solid quarters, which we haven't done in our non-patsy games this year.

Oh, I believe that by some streak of good fortune that it COULD happen. Upsets happen. But there just is no logical way to expect a win.

I would be thrilled to get a W, but in reality I'm just hoping that we appear competitive.

My brain is telling me we will struggle to run, struggle to score, and lack of talent/depth at LB will be exploited.

We will have to find a way to make big yardage plays on offense that don't require Allen to sit in the pocket for more than 2.5 seconds. Quick slants and screens to our WR's and hope they make their guy miss, Sprinkle down the seam, flea flicker bomb to Reed, draws and screens to our RB's. Our usual under center play action won't work because they take too long to develop; Bama will be on Allen's back before he can find an open WR.

Yeah, Bama's D-line is too good and won't allow us to sit back and throw on long developing plays.

Our ineptness in short yardage situations near the goal line combined with the coaches stubbornness to change the play make me think we won't be in this game past 7 minutes in the 3rd quarter.
