Solid call OP.
frick these haters. This team will win some games bc of the splash brothers.
If Kingsley wouldn't have had his worst career game, we'd have won by 30.

I thought we were utterly doomed before the season but these kids work their butts off on the court.
A lot of the SEC looks very in men's basketball this year so I think the opportunity is there to do fairly well in conference. If we get on a real tear down the homestretch we might even have a shot at being a bubble team for the NCAA and I don't think anyone thought there was a chance of that.

Id tone down that NCAA talk.
We have two SEC wins. One over a Vandy team that is really struggling, and another over a State team that just isn't very good. We got both at home.
Winning at Mizzou is going to be hard for this club in the next one and LSU will likely beat us like a drum. That puts us at 2-3 or 3-2 in the league before we host Kentucky, go to UGA, then host aTm.
The key to this team is hitting the 3. They aren't going to shoot it like they did yesterday every night.

we've got 8 wins on the 10th of january through 15 games..... we have 16 games left. If we continuing winning at the same pace we have the rest of the season we'll finish with 15-17 wins. That's pretty bad when we play 31 games or so depending on SEC tournament which we'll have a terrible seed in.

Yea. Based on the season so far, Id say we have ourselves about a 16 win team.
We also host Texas Tech in the middle of a tough stretch in SEC play coming up. We very well could lose about 6-7 in a row.
@Mizzou
@LSU
Kentucky
@UGA
aTm
Texas Tech
@Florida
Tennessee
@State
@Ole Miss
We very well could lose all of those games. Serious

LSU is an odd team this year, when they are clicking they are one of the best teams in the country, when they aren't they are really shaky. If, and its a big if, we catch them on an off night I think we've got a shot at knocking them off.
On the other hand, if they have good night they probably run us out of the building. A lot of talent on that Tiger team.
ETA: That is a nasty stretch of games.

Arkansas hasn't won a game on the road this year. Thats MA's moe. So, we likely take it on the chin to LSU.

i think somewhere around 16 is our ceiling. Our easiest games are behind us at this point and we were still only winning at a 50% clip for the most part. Everyone from here on in will have at least equal talent.

We've played what like 3, two of which were against top 25 teams and one that we took to OT?
This team is a lot better than I expected. I'll be happy with any wins and expect a few more losses but I'm happy the way we're playing.
We're the only team in the Power 5 with three players averaging over 15. That's legit. Sucks we're going to lose Bell.

We'll find out tonight if this team can get up onto the tournament bubble.
They've had a lot of bad losses and got blown out by A&M. A win tonight might make me think there could be something there by the end of the year.

And a blow out loss would be the expectation at the beginning of the year.
Hope they can at least keep it close.

Not a blow out loss. So that part, it surprised me.
Maybe we can some how manage to finish .500 overall.

A close loss on the road to one of the most talented (if lazy) teams in the SEC. Not a bad showing at all by the Hogs.
Posted on 1/17/16 at 10:08 am to Hawgeye
Hogs played good overall, a few mistakes, some shitty calls.
This team might surprise some teams.
LOL @ Johnny Jones and Ben Simmons

I'll admit they've proven me wrong.
There's some life to them despite Kousasi and Miles having no business being on a D1 team anywhere.
Beard has some issues moving the ball and distributing but he's a nice piece coming off the bench.
Kingsley didn't play well last night, he did give effort on defense. I think LSU was successful in pushing him off the blocks. He needs to be a little more authoratative but I really like him as a player and a person.
When Hannahs and Bell are on, it's hard to put this team away.
Hate to say it but this team really could have used the intermediate game and defense of JaCorey. Finishing at the basket for the guards looked shakey last night.
The SEC schedule is going to hurt our RPI but this team could get into the NIT and win a couple. Not the worst ever, maybe the one of the least talented however.

I'll be honest, CMA is doing a better job at developing his less than stellar recruits than I expected.

Yup, I love this team, I just wish they were a little better.

Of all the sec teams somehow I've watched LSU more than any besides us. I guess the guy isn't necessarily overrated because he ends up with good stats but he is underwhelming to watch play, I don't know if he lacks heart or it's just due to his age but he's about the most boring lackadaisical 'superstar' player I've ever seen.
