That's the guy who last saw his defense give up 70 points to WVU. Lulz.

Why worry about a DC when you don't even recruit defense?

Hope Steele likes working with walk-ons and 2 stars.

I'm sure the ACC is smiling right now with Steele being back in the conference.

He received a seven-year contract with a base salary of $3.5 million. The deal includes a $10 million buyout for leaving that decreases after four years. But the well-traveled coach said that will not be necessary because this is his "destination job."

Interesting. That's even lower than our buyout for him.

Nice guys continuing to finish last.

I think I'm ready for a heel turn and will pledge my allegiance to the first openly renegade program.

I hate Keith Olberman, but the arse ripping he just gave Petrino was awesome.

Transcript...

quote:

After going on a rant about James Franklin shadiness in the investigation of his players and how Penn St made a bad decision, he turns to say the only thing worse than hiring him is hiring Bobby Petrino.

The coach Petrino is succeeding at Louisville had a list of core values he demanded from everybody in his program...

1. Honesty
2. Treat women with respect
3. No Drugs
4. No Stealing
5. No Guns

Wow, Coach Strong could have easily just put up a picture of this guy (Petrino) and said none of this crap.

Honesty - The last time Petrino coached at Louisville he lied about his secret meetings with Auburn and other teams

Treat women with respect - When he crashed his Harley the women riding with him was the fiance of an assistant in the strength and conditioning program, turns out they were having an affair and he got her a job in his office, oh and this is While there was still a Mrs. Petrino.

To understand how little Petrino understands what that crash meant, today at his press conference he joked that he almost got into two more accidents in route to the news conference.

The drugs, nothing he appears to be clean, a bad motorcyclist but not an impaired one.

Guns - No evidence either way

Stealing, well they are not going to arrest him for it, but ask the folks at Arkansas if they feel like he stole something from them.

Or better yet ask the Atlanta Falcons, after hiring him from louisville only to see him quit with 3 games left, only to take another job. If that wasn't stealing money per say, how about stealing self respect. His falcons players only found out he had run away when they found the printed statement version of I quit.
