No this 18 class is legit af. To put in perspective, jonesboro (desi) is ranked 7th in the entire country. Not on the state, in the ccountry. That class was all aau shite. Dsrius hall has mills fricking mills, my alma, top 50 in the country. Scrubs do not do that.
.hall beat afford straight up and beat parkvire with 4 d1 players single handily. I really do not want to lose these recruits if I can help it. These are Villanova type recruits

Depending how these last seven games go... it would be asinine to go through all next season with fans upset and not going to games just to try and keep the 18 signing class that would sign in Nov but not be on campus until the following summer together.

If next year was to suck (likely) and coaching change came following those kids could still want out.

I do wonder how much the HAWKS AAU players want to play together at Arkansas vs play for Mike at Arkansas. People like FCJ are already starting on the radio if you get rid of Mike you won't get any of them. He used Justice Hill who is 2019 as his example as playing for Mike.

BTW, I think your rankings might be off.

A good coaching hire will bring in his own good recruits. Keeping this train wreck in place for the (likely) false hope that

a) these kids stay committed to Arkansas
b) they stay eligible once they get there
c) they can coach themselves enough to compete (because we KNOW there's nobody else who's going to coach them)
d) the program can survive another year with total fan apathy

is really stupid in my opinion. The sad thing is I really like Mike and want him to be successful. How much more obvious does it need to get that we have so little chance of being a relevant program again that we'll act?

Exactly.

It's all about the coach. If you have a big name, can't miss in place, go for it.

Otherwise, I'll ride the Mike BS. Not like any of us aren't galvanized to it anyway.

I am not advocating for keeping MA at all... But I love to play Devil's Advocate. A hazard of my profession

1. It takes a new coach a bit of time to establish recruiting ties to a new university, especially one that is not in a BB conference any longer, and doesn't have a recent history of any real success.
2. Several of these recruits will absolutely bail if MA isn't the coach.
3. Many, including myself have stated the following: Arkansas Is a BB state. We have years where talent abounds in our high schools etc. This next two year period may be one of the best groupings of BB recruits in a long, long time. Do we waste this opportunity by hiring another coach and starting over again?
4. These are the areas of vast improvement in MA's tenure. APR is good finally, Off the court problems are minimal, Facilities are upgrade quite a bit, recruiting Is on an up tick.
5. Reserved for more drivel..

this 17-20 span of recruits is the best since the joe / ronnie classes bar none. probably better depth wise. little rock, parkview in particular has some freshman that ware going to be top 100 type players as well in 2020

Kinda my thoughts as well. We have suffered this long, what is one more year? Not like we can hire a big name to come here at this point anyway. The "big time" coach we hired is at Oregon tearing it up.
