Why? This is his best team he's had here and I can't imagine any way we don't make the tournament with what's in front of us. He's got great recruits coming in and I really like the direction he's taking the program.

Marshall, McDermott or Willard. Any of those three would coach circles around Mike.

So we get spanked at home by a .500 Vanderbilt team? We're almost peaking, getting ready for a deep run. Should be good for an extension of at least a few years.

I've never understood the logic of keeping a coach who can't get it done around longer just because there is some talent coming down the line that he can squander.

I'm done with MA. I was done with him after the Mizzou lose. I didn't even watch the Vandy game and I won't watch another game. If he's here next year (which he will be), I won't watch a single game, let alone attend.

And before anyone asks, I'm damn near at that point with BB as well.

IYear six with a junior and senior laden roster and we're incredibly mediocre and uninspired in every facet of the game. This was Mike's year to prove that he still deserved his position and he is failing. He built this team and it sucks.

Stop fricking around and offer Greg Marshall 5-6 Million.

Show the league, Cal and the fricking country we're tired of dicking around with nostalgia and feel good stories.

I'm absolutely numb at this point and can't believe how badly this has back fired.

Long fired Pelphrey with a top recruiting class coming in, so maybe he'll do it again. Maybe we'll finally smarten up and offer Marshall the job he's been waiting on for years.

i'll give mike this much credit.. the program is in 100000x better shape than when he got here. we have sweet 16 talent, we have talent locked up, we have great apr situtation. if we pull the triggter we won't have a probelm at all attracting a top name

Are we talking about Greg Marshall? As in Wichita State?

If you are for sure correct, JL should be fired just for being an utter idiot!

I am skeptical ...

This is so true. Mike inherited a top 10 recruiting class and did nothing with it. I'll give him credit for at least getting to the post season with Bobby Portis on the roster, but I am not convinced that he would do anything other than ineptly "coach" the talent coming in.

I thought this team was poorly coached just from watching games on TV, but after attending last night's game, I see that they are truly clueless. The talent is there, but they have no clue what to do.
