No way it's Warner....because he would be my #1 choice and I'm not that lucky.

Roper isn't my top choice but I think he would do ok. If nothing else our QBs should be better coached.

LSU fans on the CC Board seemed to think that the NCAA will ok another spot on the coaching staff and that's what they're saving Brick Haley for. Any chance if we get Roper that we bring in Joker Phillips as well and have Michael Smith move to some kind of administrative role until the extra spot is available?

Bielema was in Florida today and is coming back tomorrow.
At this point I think its 90% done that we are either hiring Joker Phillips or Kurt Roper, could not tell you which, but I would be stunned if it were not one of the two.

If it is indeed Roper, I should remind everyone of this -- I melted a tad when we hired Robb Smith and our defense beasted this year.

Could be, but, my gut tells me based on what he said and the way he said it that it was for a coach... not a recruit...
The timing, etc just makes it highly probable that its Roper or Joker
