Oh to answer your question about college sports and your age, age doesn't affect it at all. You basically have a 5 year clock, the hourglass flips as soon as you start your first semester.

I've seen some waiver cases where a kid's been pro in a different sport, and comes back to school to play another sport and it'll pick back up where they left off.
