Meanwhile, Lance Guidry is killing it as the new DC of Miami, too... A guy who was a clear and obvious choice to replace Odom.

It's clear now that Sam has been propped up by his coordinators...especially Briles, whose scheme obviously suited KJ and the line and the backs far far better than whatever the hell we're running out there with Enos.

Absolutely yes. My thought always was pay the man whatever it took to keep him here but we thought we could do better.

Yeah, I'm already in that "well, at least we have basketball" mode.

Pay him whatever he wants?

What about the last 3 quarters of A&M, LSU, Mizzou, most of Missouri state and the Liberty game?

Coordinators aren’t the problem.

Unless Briles has suddenly become a top Oline recruit with some eligibility left since he left Fayetteville, then no I don't miss him and don't believe we would've won yesterday with him either.

I know our fans' memories tend to be short on stuff like this, but Briles had plenty of his own WTF moments and calls. Drive killing, game losing calls and massive scoring droughts at important times. He also left our defense out to dry with his feast or famine offense that resulted in tons of 3 and outs.

I don't think we would've fared any better yesterday with our porous Oline and lack of a stud WR

I liked Briles a lot... and wanted to keep him. Then I remembered what Enos did with Brandon Allen and was enamored with that.

I still believe Enos would do well with better talent on the Oline, and QB... But..

Who is the one who hires coaches, gets he Millions, and was a career oline coach? that is the one who fairly should get the grief period.

Kj isn’t the problem guys. He’s getting pressured constantly. Look at the pick he threw. Hasz is open he’s just getting pressure directly into his face and our receivers are struggling separating downfield, at least to KJ’s liking. Having burks spoiled him I think because I noticed even last year he doesn’t like taking deep shots unless the guy is at least a couple steps by the defender

You’ll hate that too until February when Muss figures how to play the guys together.

And he's being forced to run a poorly designed scheme that doesn't fit his strengths

I think we seem to forget that Brandon Allen is an NFL QB. Not a great one but he is still in the NFL and has started some games.

I liked Briles but just like Enos he had some WTF moments. I think replacing his scheme has been what we have missed. I think KJ having to learn a new scheme plus the suckage on the online will be our Achilles heel. I think Dan fits more into what Sam wants to do, but you can’t do a smash mouth football style with a bunch of weak linemen. When you get pushed around by an FCS school there is a problem. We had the biggest line in the conference and I think the running numbers showed it. You get tired pushing those big MFs around all game. Wears you out.

Our line wasn't great last year either but Briles didn't run slow developing runs. Imagine having a coach who adapts their scheme to fit their talent.

If Sam had been smart, he would have ponied up to keep Briles (or bring in someone from the same coaching tree) and fire Kennedy.

The only people who would hate that would be the BOT, Springdale Crew and media.

Especially the midget who would have to retract all the things he said right after his BFF fat Bert was hired.

I didn’t get to watch the game, because my son had an engagement party. I guess I’m just here to say, anyone who yearns for Briles and bitches about Enos needs to remember if they were one of those who said if the defense gives up more than 20, the loss is on them.

We lost to Liberty and their 3rd string QB at home scoring 19 points last year with Briars.

We scored 10 points against LSU and 17 against MSU.

We didn’t score for almost 3 quarters against A&M and got completely skunked against a terrible Mizzou team in the second half.

How short is y’all’s memory?

I’m not saying Enos is great but he just scored 31 against a much better team than Liberty.

The problem is Pittman. It’s his RB by committee shite, his crappy OL, his terrible special teams and his weak arse recruiting in year 4.

He probably called that 4th and inches play. We know he has a propensity to meddle like our friend HDN.

He definitely needs to sit down with Jimmy and tell him to give Green the ball. We all love Smith but his rotations are strange.

Special teams weren't really that bad other than two horrible punts on Saturday. It was the OL and turnovers that did us in. I also think his recruiting has been a tad better than usual for us (particularly these next two classes), but it doesn't matter if it doesn't start showing on the field.

I will say that I always thought the stuff about the culture problems and the strength staff last year were overblown. I mean we blew out Ole Miss with the exact same team in place. I don't think players are thinking about the team culture or S&C program when they're running routes, trying to tackle or throwing a pass. Not sure that off-field stuff really matters when you're in the game.
