Well we do have the 2nd best winning percentage in the SEC in the past 4 years.

We've only made the tourney once though bc our non conference slate is shite, and your post only helps prove that the SEC is shite since we win games in conference and still don't make the tourney

We'd be going on a 3 NCAAT streak this year if we didn't lose out top 7 scorers from 2014-2015. With the talent coming in, if we miss the NCAAT at all in the next 4-5 years, it's a failure from Mike. We got Zimmerman off the staff and the recruiting went through the roof, This is probably Watkins last year so hopefully Mike continues to make good staff adjustments to keep the program flowing.

We might still make the tourney this year, and should the next several years, but honestly what's your expectation of doing any real damage in the tournament with Mike as our coach?

I doubt he ever gets past the second round at best even if we're loaded

Really hoping Mike finds a spot for Lee on the staff going forward...

Well guess what... we fricking won. Does Mike get any credit for that or just blame when something doesn't go as you think it should?

We could easily have lost to Scar at the end bc we came out of a timeout and got trapped and stepped over backcourt. That's just shitty coaching to allow that to happen

I can get with you on somethings but to put that all on Mike is ridiculous.

He's been to 2 sweet sixteens and an elite 8, with less than loaded teams, so that's a dumb statement.

It was just one example of a long line of terrible end game coaching decisions. Luckily it didn't cost us the game.

I'm done arguing about Mike. I hope he wins us the natty, but I know we won't ever do shite under him other than get by.

That's great but none of that was in recent years or at this university. I wish we would've hired him to replace Nolan at this point and he probably would've done some nice things here, but he hasn't thus far and the excitement and fricks given for Arkansas basketball is at as low a point as I can remember.

He didn't forget how to coach since then, hell this year if we get the right draw we have a good enough bench and guards to get to the sweet sixteen, especially if we get a 10 or 11 seed. When we went in 2015, we didn't have the guards to go far, Qualls was inconsistent as hell. We have 4 guys who can go for 20+ points this year

I doubt you do, you haven't been very objective overall. Do you think Mike has done anything good so far?

Get excited!!! We beat a ranked team. Seriously this is what we've become. This is the type of shite that we shouldn't have to do to get fans to give a frick

I've rooted for Mike up until this year, but I'm just over the apathy around the program.

Of course I'd be excited if we won big or did something, but it just hasn't happened, and nothing I've seen this year has changed my mind.

We're a poorly coached team with zero direction, terrible substitutions and rotations on and on.

Dusty getting hot against LSU and Scar saved us. Macon has been clutch at the line and Barford has his moments, but if beating an overanked SEC team is the pinnacle then i'm not ok with that

I mean you should, just as I was when we did it under Nolan.

What were your expectations for the season? I don't understand the logic on flipping on him before the season is over if you were with him before the season started. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now.

This is such a weak argument, you don't think players "save" coaches all the time. Do you give him no credit for getting those two players. It is just a silly argument.

Well that's not true, Mike changing up the defense AND not substituting nearly as much or as many players changed the entire game, after they got up 19-5, the change in defense allowed us to control the entire game.

And if you watched his teams from 2 years ago to now, there is a huge difference in style of play. He's finally starting to adjust to the rule changes.

Mike has finally started using the zone even more against teams with good to great guard play...

it is a modified zone, not meant to slow down the game at all but to plug gaps, and aid in transition.

and... it has worked.

Mike is coaching better, and has better talent.

I complain, gripe, and then have to get a grip. I hope others do the same.

Lets just keep watching and see where we go from here. WPS!

I get that people are still frustrated at Mike for the stuff that has happened this year and his tenure but you are just being purposely obtuse if you can't acknowledge this. Keeping the Zone so that Dusty could stay out there was important.
