Hope we get on a roll and salvage some of the BAD losses.

What percent chance did they give us to lose to Mizzou and Vandy?

22 would have to include a uf or usc road win

Not necessarily. 22 just means we have to win that first SEC tourney game.

If we manage to beat one of UF or USC, I'm down to give him another year.

I guess if we make it, I'll take it but we're going to take another huge step back next year losing Moses, Hannahs and probably the two JUCO guards.

Gafford will put up better numbers next year than Kingsley has this year, and Garland may not be quite the pure shooter as Hannahs but he will be much better defensively, on the glass and overall speed/athleticism wise.

I do not agree with your opinion there one bit.

Also zero chance we lose both JUCOs, maybe one but I would still go with both being back however. Then you're looking at a pretty scary team next season.

Kingsley hasn't really been what we expected him to be. I honestly don't think there will be too much loss between him and Gafford. Yes there will be growing pains with Gafford being a freshman, but I think he will have more of a paint presence, especially on the glass, than Moses. I really don't see Macon or Barford leaving either. They may try testing the waters, but I don't see them leaving.

If Gafford is that good, I'm in. I'm out of state, haven't seen him play and don't get to read anything on him. Just chalked things up to him being a freshman.

How would you compare him to Portis?

And I hope both JUCOs stay, they should. They both just strike me as guys that would probably make a bad decision and leave ala Qualls.

It's not so much that he is THAT good, it's moreso Kingsley has had a pretty poor year, so to say a Top 35 overall player can average 12ppg and 7 boards isn't really stretching it much.

Gafford is pretty big time, he's far more explosive down low than Portis, he has some serious ups and attacks the rim big time, loves to throw down some monster jams. Portis was the better spot up shooter that could shoot from nearly anywhere, whereas Gafford will be closer to the rim posting up looking to take it to the rack with force. He plays with serious tenacity on the court. Very athletic and quick that will be a perfect fit for the trap system, big time rebounder too especially on the offensive glass.

He's ranked in the top 30, but he's still underrated. He absolutely dominates everyone like Monk did.

Sounds excellent.

Really hope Macon and Barford come back. That lineup does sound nasty.

Not even thinking about the other JUCOs and their progression as well.

Gafford dominated Garrison Brooks when they played against each other. The coaches were recruiting Brooks pretty heavily last year, but he ended up signing with MSU where his father is an assistant to Howland.

I hate to reference Hogville, but here's a thread from Kevin McPherson with highlights of the matchup between Brooks and Gafford.

I only use 247 (35) and ESPN (43) for basketball so who has him Top 30 Rivals? He is underrated either way, but I asked Jerry Meyer if he expects him to climb more by the time final rankings come out and he said yes.
