if we make the tournament will all be forgiven?

Short answer: yes and no

Yes in the sense that he most likely gets to keep his job another season, no in the sense that the leash will be very, VERY short. The same results or worse after his "second chance" season and he's 100% gone.

This of course assumes we're in and out of the NCAAT and don't make a miraculous deep run.

Will depend on how we setup next year. If we make the tourney are some kids gone immediately? If so I'm disinterested again.

He needs to go. I don't want to waste these next 3 classes on someone who can't coach. This can be our launching point.

Only way he gets fired is if we miss the tournament. If we make it he's safe.

Losing to auburn won't knock us nor would losing to Georgia

We are easily, easily in this year. Our schedule is back heavy. We need Tennessee to get to 17'18 wins, we need Georgia to keep winning and be a top 50 opponent

We don't have a top 50 wonoas of now but could legit eand up with 4.

We have 2 top 50 wins as of right now, Tennessee and UT-A. Houston is close at 57.

Definitely have a better chance against them than Florida. Gators are on fire right now.

If Bama can win in SC, we sure as hell can.

Not even close on being easily in the field.

This team has let a bad loss convert into two losses this season. Getting blistered at UK and then laying an egg at home against State. Bad loss to Missouri, then blistered at home to Vandy. The same scenario happens again when we go on the road at Scar and then back home against Ole Miss. This team cannot lose two in a row the rest of the season, and likely can only lose two more games max to have a shot at a 10ish seed in the tourney.

Any more than 2 losses and we are looking at the NIT unless they make a run through the SECt.

6 games left. Arkansas needs to go 4-2. To be ultra safe, Arkansas needs to go 5-1 with one big road win at UF or SC. Split those two and win the rest, then Arkansas is safely in the dance.

While this is a talented team, it isn't a mentally tough team. On two occasions in SEC play this team has lost its mental edge and lost two games in a row. 3 of those losses are to teams we should have beaten. 2 of those losses were at home(State & Vandy).

Pretty good assessment. One thing I've noticed that no one is talking about is the possibility of meeting one of the good SEC teams in the tournament. We'll still have one last shot at a resume builder even if we don't beat SC or Florida on the road.

Yesterday was pretty big, not just because we beat LSU but virtually every bubble team lost. We could get in safely just because the bubble is so bad this year. Get to the top 40 in the RPI and we'll be a lock.

We cannot afford a loss to a team that we are favored to beat. I think if we go 4-2 and win a game in the SEC Tourney we will be fine. If we take another bad loss we are going to be dependent on the other bubble teams losing down the stretch.

If we finish 3-3 we'll still get in if we can win that first game in the SEC tournament. Just have to win our remaining home games. If we finish 3-3 and win that first tournament game, our RPI will be around 40. That would be a major snub if we got left out.

I say we win out and win the SEC tournament to be on the safe side. I've reached the paranoia stage of Arkansas fandom at last.

Still, 3-3 with a win in the SEC tournament... it would give us a shot. Hopefully we will close the deal before then though.

3-3 + 2 SEC Tourney wins would have us nervous on Selection Sunday and hoping to get in.

Beat Vandy, State and Mizzou, which were winnable games and we wouldn't be sweating it on Selection Sunday.

All on Mike.

Some of us also can spell out complete words. It might baffle you but some of us get a bit concerned when we lose to one of the worst P5 teams in the country, get walloped by Vandy, and then nearly lose to what is probably the worst P5 team in the country.

Some of you might want to consider that we are all Hog fans here and we all pull for the Hogs. If it means being unhappy when the team looks like garbage then some of you need to accept that not everyone is pleased with that state of affairs. Not to mention, some of you might want to realize we all, whether we think he should be the head coach or not, want Mike Anderson to do well because he's our coach right now and we all call the Hogs here. Personally I like MA and I hope he does well not just because he is our coach but because he really does love the University, however I don't speak for some of us I am sure.

Just because people aren't happy with results, it doesn't mean they really want to see the team crash and burn even if they joke about it otherwise. We are all Arkansas fans here and we stick together through shite that would cause your average SEC fan to give up sports altogether. Just something some of you might want to think about.

TeamRankings gives us a 90% chance of making it with 23 wins, 68% with 22 wins.
