As a fan, how can anyone be happy or get excited about the NIT? That shite is ridiculous. That's like saying, "I'm glad we didn't get to a bowl game last year. In the long run, it's better for our program."

I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed after coming on stronger toward the end, getting so close, then not making it. I think I kind of got my hopes up, though. Now, I just hope like hell we do really well in the NIT. I'm getting pretty tired of telling myself "next year ..." about literally everything, but what can you do except keep on calling the hogs. WPS.

How is that like saying that. In the NIT you still get practices etc. Not going to a bowl game is way more damaging b/c you don't get those extra practices

Before the season I was okay with the NIT, but expectations change as the season progresses. Hard to be satisfied with ending the season on a loss like that.
That said, this team did draw me back in and I found myself watching every bball game. That hasn't happened in years.

Absolutely, yes.
And re: the we've fallen tears - we fricking fell awhile ago, we're now in process of trying to climb back. NIT is better than no postseason.
