But if this ends up being the worst team in my lifetime after you've had 5 years to build simethung.... And it's looking that way and we don't get monk then Anderson absolutely needs to be shown the door

I mean we have the #1, #2, and #4 JUCO players coming in, all 4 stars. Immediate help that we need.

We will be really good next year. He just needs to get rid of one of his assistants, hire a guy that can recruit talent.
Though I had no expectations coming into this season, both Portis and Qualls told my friends at U of A they were going to return, then decide to leave for the NBA at the last second.

Mike caught hell for recruiting and signing a player to replace a guy who told him he was leaving early, then decided he needed another year, meaning he had to pull the new comer's scholly and offer a grey shirt while at Mizzou.

this team is litearlly the worst hog team i've ever seen

Didn't realize you had to be a "big name coach" in order to be successful at the college level in winning and recruiting.
That's good to know.
We sure dont want to try to go after a coach from some small school like Tulsa for example.
Needs to be a big name skins on the wall type if we expect to continue to win one tourny game every five years.
Mike gets one more year. If he doesn't make the dance next year, then he needs to go.
Will probably do just good enough to continue to hang on.

Are you saying Arkansas basketball fans should feel sorry for themselves, or be content with what Mike has done?
I am more on the fence with a lot that goes on with MA, but the reality is that this is year 5 of his tenure here and we have 1 NCAA tourney and are staring a pretty bad season down right now.
He shows too much loyalty to his assistants and has shown to not want to get rid of any of them. He needs a recruiter and has needed a recruiter for a while now.
Recruiting wise, Mike was not prepared for the departure of Portis and Qualls, but he should have been prepared for the loss of seniors Ky Madden, and others. There is absolutely no excuse. This all falls on the shoulders of MA.
Also, don't give me the excuse of Mike had no idea Anton Beard and Jacorey Williams were going to go and get arrested....Bottom line is, if this team was going to depend on Beard and Williams to carry them, then we were fricked from the get go.
He gets one more year IMO and that is it...

Powell is probably the only guy on that list of players that was anything special. Not sure why you're so impressed by that team

Its only year 5 for Coach Mike Anderson, he needs some more time, what do expect?
